  1. One of my biggest problems with the Ny'alotha end cinematic is the quality. After the end of the last three raids in Legion, we got pre-rendered cinematics. They were all legitimately good, too. Why did they cheap out on BfA? We expected something of similar or better quality.

  2. I missed the stream, sadly, but when people say Anduin and Wrathion are a couple, is more for the memes 😆It's because a very young Anduin spent a lot of time with Wrathion during the Cataclysm/Pandaria expansions. Wrathion had a major arc during Pandaria, but it all happened during quest chains without pre rendered cutscenes (that I remember, it's been a while).
Edit: Oh, I remember! There's a WoW youtuber named Bellular, very popular that also covers WoW lore. Since the current expansion is about dragons, he made a small series of videos telling the origin story of each major Dragon in the lore (mostly aspects). There's a Wrathion video that explains his origins, I strongly recommend it.

  3. I think I made my connection with GIdeon Emery after seeing him in either Daredevil Series or Iron Fist.. been a good few years ago. BUt Ive actually had some conversations with him via twitter and such.. Great guy. Very happy to see him back at work after the strikes.

  4. Wrathion is bae ❤ favourite character. During pandaria he was (still is) obsessed with ending the old gods and he saw no way to do it while the alliance and horde were at war with eachother so he planned to wipe out one side so there would be no war and the remaining side could focus on the old gods. His theory that horde and alliance couldnt work together was proven wrong in BfA last patch when horde and Alliance finally worked together, no side had to be wiped out for the "greater good".

  5. Wrathion was indirectly responsible for the legions invasion. After events of Mists of pandaria, wrathion and others lead to release of garrosh, which lead to events of warlords of draenor. Because of those events, Alt universe guldan escaped draenor and invaded azeroth with the Legion in world of warcraft legion. basically Wrathion was indirect cause of the legions invasion in first place. Wrathion has always been against the legion, but he instigated the battle in an utterly wreckless way, almost everything wrathion does is inpulsive and reckless. He's not evil, he's chaotic good

  6. Also, they had you skip a key story scene, super short. But before the scene with wrathion using Xal'atath on Nzoth's carapace, is the scene where Azshara is being tortured by another of nzoths minions, we rescue her as players, and then she escapes and promises we'll see her again. As for context of that scene, you learn that Azshara always intended to betray Nzoth and regain her independance, she's one that reprocured Xal'atath for wrathion to use on him in first place (which had been lost near start of bfa). It was her machinations.

  7. Xal'atath, the Blade of the Black Empire, the blade Wrathion used is a corrupted dagger with its own malign intelligence. Using her against N'zoth released her from her prison in the blade. She is definitly back in the War Within.

  8. SO close to Shadowlands's good stuff! I mean, the story cutscenes were pretty much the only good stuff so lol

Don't get me wrong that doesn't mean everything else was bad, just a bit disappointing. I guess it would make sense to do the big cinematic offline though

  9. For dragons, a visage can be anything – for obvious reasons they tend to most often use humanoid races. Trolls for the oldest (as that was mostly all they knew about or was.. ) Elves of various kinds and Humans are popular, gnomes aren't uncommon and there's even a vulpera one in Dragonflight in a very senior position.
I seem to remember Alexstrasza at one point had a tree visage..
There's another version of visage for the Dragonflight new race Dracthyr, which is much more limited(barely even acknowledged, let alone explained but potentially due to either deliberate restrictions during the race's creation process, errors in same that simply weren't a priority to address, or that being blended draconic&mortal just limits things.. )
