  1. Sylvanas' judgement:

Sylvanas reached everything possible. Not all, thanks to Zovaal's betrayel, but by her deeds she changed the realm of death as much as possible, starting with eh ne Arbiter who came into place, because the death gods realized how an Arbiter without compassion leads to a tyrannic afterlife for mortal souls and to the majority of the problems they got.

Sylvanas wants to die since many years, it was what led her to Zovaal in the first place – when she comitted suicide, just to see that this wouldn't end the suffering at all.

As she says: death would be mercy for her. She fought because there was something that big worth to fight for and until then she would never have bowed before Tyrande.

Because of cours she knows how much suffering her path had caused and Tyrande as the Highpriestess of Elune and leader of the Nightelves is the one who deserves it most to decide her puhnishment for that.

Overall: hard to even see it as punishent. If everything would have went according to Sylvanas plan, the maw wouldn't exist anyway anymore and all souls their freed. Thanks to it not working out as planed, she would likely go there herself anyway to fix stuff – and find some of the souls that where imprisoned there without her knowing (talking about her lover, especially).

Sylvanas does not seek redemption. For what? She would go that path again for the same goal, for freedom in Death. It's good, that she isn't the shiny hero – it's more realistic. Too realistic for many people it seems.

  2. It wasn't Sylvanas who collected all those night elf souls from the Maw, that was us, lol. It was an Ardenweald campaign quest to go find them, and of course as Horde I always got smack-talked at by the NPCs even though I'm sitting there trying to pull their fat out of the fryer.

  3. Something to note in the cinematic where they say goodbye to Arthas. You mentioned Arthas' theme playing, but when Sylvanas says "your legacy is at an end", the music because a version of her own theme.

  4. I look at writing in original games the same as the writing in original book series. The authors get to do what they want. I may not enjoy what the author decides to have happen to certain characters, but I do not rail at the authors for it. They're writing the characters how they want. They're writing the storyline how they want. I as the reader/gamer am simply here for the ride. The ups and downs, the twists and turns are what I enjoy. The waiting to see what comes next.

I've enjoyed playing WoW since BC and am always willing to not nitpick down to the finest detail what Blizzard does or does not do. The only times I've ever stopped (briefly, lol) enjoying the game has been interactions with other players who sucked the fun out of it, than the game itself.

Best times I've ever had in the game was after spending a night wiping on Leo (I was the lock tank and he never did drop my dang sword), then going out do die a bunch more with my guild-mates doing Naked Gnome Racing.

  5. You don’t need to catch up with Dragonflight cinematics to be honest. It’s all spoiler, it’s better experiencing it while playing. You can watch Just the main one and the legacies shorts. Once you start the game you are sent straight to BFA 😅 or Shadowlands (don’t remember which one is the current levelling main zone)

  6. Proportions of things that are lovable and those that are upsetting vary between expansions. For me they are in the red for BFA and SL.

Remember when Tyrande said she will not sign peace pact? I believed it is not signed yet. I want to return to Darkshore and Ashenvale, build memorial at Teldrassil's ashes, clean plague, kick Horde out (may be in peaceful way). Aliance won on warfronts but it had no consequences in-game vise.

Many people expected world revamp like in cataclysm, but we got worldsoul saga. Looks interesting, will let Metsen cook.

  7. I think the issue with Shadowlands is more of the gameplay / content as opposed to the story / lore. Watching these with you in regards to Shadowlands, has gave me some appreciation for the exp. Thank you sir and cannot wait to join with you in WoW. Cheers!

  8. I missed this stream, but I appreciate being able to watch it later. I really love that your channel is focused on the positive side of things. This world is full of hate and negativity, and a lot of people enjoy to be in an echo chamber of things they hate in common, but that's not me man… There's enough bad things in life, and my entertainment is the way I scape from that. For that I have to say, thank you for this channel.

  9. The cinematics are visually fantastic as usual. The art team carries. The voice actors performances are always amazing. But the plot makes me want to vomit violently. I understand not wanting to be negative about it because of the people who actually do deliver and worked hard on it, but the result is the result. I've been a Warcraft fan since the RTS games, but I was massively let down here. So much so that I stopped playing. Yet I can also appreciate watching someone else react to everything. It's a good journey.

  10. in legion we kill a whole ass titan, whose soul goes to the shadowlands (the red thing that hits the arbiter), but the titan is corrupted and just so enormous that is not even supposed to die, so basically the arbiter gets overloaded and dies. from that point every soul goes to the maw since it doesnt get redirected for judgement, then sylvanas burns the tree and starts a war, sending idk how many but a lot of souls to fuel the jailer and then the shadowlands cinematic happens.

There's a conspiracy theory that the jailer is just a puppet and the primus is actually who pulls the strings, which is cool but just points out how trash the writing in SL was

  11. Another parrallel with Lich King trailer – Terenas says 'When you were born, the very forests of Lordaeron whispered the name.. Arthas.' And Sylvanas caps that whole life off with "May the last whisper of your name fade, and be forgotten." at the point of his ultimate, very final, death.

  12. One of my preferred hypotheses is that zovaal was actually tricked by the Primus/runecarver into doing this. If you look for lore around the Primus, you find that he was a master tactician and the only one who could craft these powerful weapons such as mourneblades (frostmourne and kingsmourne). How the fuck can somebody like him be overwhelmed. In addition, him being displayed as a puppet figure in the end tells a lot. I think Blizzard just did not have the time or resources to build out the story of shadowlands.
