In this episode of my first playthrough of World of Warcraft Classic, I decide to leave Elwynn Forest behind and venture north to see what lurks up there.

Join me on my journey into World of Warcraft Classic playthrough! After many recommendations, I’ve decided to dive into this iconic MMORPG. As a newcomer, I’m open to any hints and tips you have to offer.

World of Warcraft (WoW) is a beloved MMORPG released in 2004 by Blizzard Entertainment, set in the Warcraft universe. It’s been four years since the events of the previous game, and Azeroth awaits exploration!

Drop by anytime for a natter, I’m usually floating around.

  2. All of the races have their own specific mount that they can get. As a human you can get horses. Dwarves ride rams, night elves ride big cats, and gnomes ride mechanical birds. You can eventually get the other steeds, but you will have to increase your reputation with the racial factions first.

What you saw at 23:10 , the massive flying lion is a Wyvern, is the Horde's equivalent of your gryphon. It's what the Horde use to fly from place to place. You were standing in the Horde base, so it's a good thing you were already dead lol

The accidental taxi you took is probably for the best lol. It was going to take you far longer to do that than to take the tram.

And you're fine being in Ironforge. It's one of the Alliance main cities and is in the starting zone for the dwarves and gnomes. Enemies are the same levels as you were dealing with in Elwyn Forest. Depending on what race you play, your starting experience is different. So if you ever want to make a new character, pick one of the three races other than a human and you'll get a new place to explore.

Loch Modan is a good zone for you to level in. The game doesn't really have any set zone that you have to do at any time, but they kind of nudge you places. After humans hit level 10 the generally go to Westfall. When dwarves and gnomes hit level 10 they usually go to Loch Modan. But there isn't a rule that says a human can't level there. From the boat in Menethil Harbor in the Wetlands you could even take a boat to Darkshore to play in that level 10 zone.

To thank someone you can just type out Thanks in the chat and they'll see it. Or you can select them, then type in /thank and your character will say it out loud. There are a few emotes like that. /cry /laugh /silly

  3. to thank someone do /thank in chat, theres a ton of little emotes like that you can do, like /bow, /sit etc. if you check the emotes part of the chatbox you can see the list.

  4. 16 minutes on video. It was some random priest buffing you. Bit same as I earlier told that you can buff the Arnace Intellect on someone. Good example of random friendliness here. 🙂 And even druid buff there, that Mark of the Wild.

18:30 That dying tactic is sometimes working! If you want to do it more, it's recommend to take off all your gear, as every dying take durability away, and will costs on repairs.

23:10 That was a horde flight point. As alliance use gryphons, horde have those. If you had been alive, there's always very angry elite guard on those enemy flightpoints, so as corpse it was safe to see, but don't go there as alive 🙂

When you set the home in Dun Morogh, overall it's good practise to have you hearthstone set to some of the big cities, if not doing much quests on some area. Now when you set it there, it's not very likely you would want to get back there anytime soon, if you are heading elsewhere.

36 minutes. You can thanks someone by targeting them, and then typing /thanks into chat. It's one of those emote commands, like the /dance thing.

And it so fun to see you experiencing the world. Kinda made me scary as you went to level 50 area as level 10. But that's the joy of WoW. Experiencing things for first time. Can't really do that myself anymore after knowing too much. So enjoy these first time experiences, they are really golden!

    Waiting for your adventures.

  6. Haha, good episode, especially that accidental flight and stuck behind barrels.
And congratulations for your wetlands run. During the old days, our Night Elf friends walk all the way from their starting zone to Elwynn forest for partying and doing quests together. Its basically same route, taking a boat, walk across swapms, loch modan to ironforge and take a tram to stormwind. It was fun times, no to mention them forgetting to set hearthstone😂.

Also as you noticed, "air taxi" will only stop at flight masters' location. They wont drop you off anywhere. And some of the flying routes are inaccessible by walking such as connection betweem burning steppes and elwynn forests. those are mostly there for eye entertainment.

Btw, i just noticed you play on EU server. So i can't join you atm as i am subscribed to us and oceania servers. Sadly, Blizzard doesnt allow cross connection of WoW between US or EU zone, i have to purchase EU subscription separately, greedy buggers.

  7. Suggestion for movement. A = strafe left, W is forward, D = strafe right, S = backwards. Then 'steer' the camera with the mouse.

Then additionally (if you prefer), go to keybindings for action bar 1. Put 'Q' for action bar button 11 and 'E' for action bar button 12. They are the easiest to reach buttons so put your best spells (frost bolt for instance) on there. Once you set them, they will be all the way to the right on action bar 1. Where your mana potions and health potion are now.

  8. don't forget it's a MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER etc rpg. if you get stuck, confused, feel free to ask for some directions in world chat.
( type /join world) People there will be as keen to help you as here in the youtube comments

and you DID achieve much, you broadened your horizons and got a peek how immersive and grand this game was and still is. When wow started it sold 500,000 copies which was 5 times more than they anticipated… (not to mention millions more in the next year)

Imagine hundreds of thousands of players discovering the things you experience.. For me it's 20 years ago and I forgot most of that early time, you give us the opportunity to travel back in time.
