The low level B.G.s are 40% Priest, 40% Hunter, 20% mix of other Classes and specs… lots of Rogue..
u need to try amplification, slipstream and arcane echo with clear casting pvp talent. Touch of magi and then press arcane missiles and you will see what I mean. 4 charge arcane blast does 2/3 damage of NON-clearcasting missiles. With amp and clearcasting proc its 3.5x full charge arcane blast. With pummelling azerite trait and arcane echo (which procs 8 times on clearcast missiles), 1 cast of missiles exceeds 6x damage arcane blast. its nuts
my fav bgs are no healer bg. having healers can really unbalance the game (if one of the healers is good, and the opposing healer is bad for e.g)
arcane mage. the one button class :))

People say Frost is better, but I'm not so sure Arcane looks really good. Arcane has crazy burst as well just like Frost, but Arcane has more survivability.
Chage your talents… you do any damage
"i wish i had movement based damage" ignores the talent slipstream that lets you cast arcane missiles while moving. 😀

About the glacial spike my mage only has 84 ilvl and he's doing close to 12k crits in dungeons with rune of power
My low lvl bg experience is Mages only using Arcane missiles, i haven't seen one mage cast arcane blast or anything else other than Arcane Missiles and you just get deleted loll
you know there is somethign wrong when you see everyone playing casters shadowlands balance is really bad.
