  1. My opinion is flying is an exploration tool. It's not content. So having it related to exploration type things makes way more sense. I think it makes a lot of sense to have a player put feet to pavement and it least see the land up close first. Then go ahead and just make it unlocked so they can use the tools already in their bag(flying mounts). Don't think it needs to be tied to the quest thing, but I imagine they are just trying to make the build up for mythic week more interesting by making those players join the rest of us on the ground until the big show.

  2. I never had an issue with the Pathfinder system. I liked it. Flying was a reward for the work I put in, not handed to me because people were whining about how much effort they had to put in.

  3. I would have loved if they put in the previous version, I do not and will not ever play the game again, but would have been hilarious to see them shooting themselves in the leg.
I do think it's much better now, but the story one still makes it shit because it's time gating still.

  4. as someone thats more into ff14 than wow now i was wondering when they would give up this really clunky time gate and grind heavy unlock system and its nice that they are moving in this direction. glad to see its more like ff14's flight unlocks where you do a little map hunt and some quests, its far more fun to wander and explore and quest rather than farm and wait.

  5. honestly the change is good, but they shouldnt time gated into week 3… its stupid, if ppl want to grind it out complete all the achievement on day one, then they deserve to be flying on day one.

  6. good change, much more general player friendly. ffxiv has the same, in FFXIV flying is per zone and you just have to find wind currents to do it. means you can do it day 1 and all zones have a level requirement so that' the only gate.

  7. in the next expansion Blizzard should let us unlock flying from day 1 i mean what's the point in unlocking flying right when i am done with the grind in those zones it kinda makes flying useless and a waste of time

  8. Once again the people that been playing get screwed. So while I'm doing this stuff and waiting for the chapter one person can just wait 3 weeks come in hop on a dual mount and buzz around in 1 day with out dropping no sub fee or time. Wow nice one it feels really accomplished. Don't get me wrong I do like the way to do it. But I don't agree you want me to pony around for my life for 3 weeks while I watch some shmo come in that day and get the easy life. You might as well hand it out In a mail box.

  9. I see no problem in makign the players interact the minimum with the new zone before giving flight. If I had spent months of my life building a map just to everyone instantly just fly over it I'd be pissed to say the least

  10. I have an idea, let's log into 9.2 and have a npc standing there to give you everything. Then you can log back out and piss and moan on the forums while people wjo enjoy PLAYING the game having fun without the toxic man-babies.

  11. I feel if you are paying a monthly sub fee you should just get it.. I do not mind it being behind exploration but i really wish if you are already paying for the game on a monthly or 6 month sub you should just naturally get it.

  12. It's just night and day difference. Take notes for the future, this is how you make players happy! And a happy player will always play more and come back for more.

  13. Pathfinder has always sucked. Needing to get to level cap worked fine in the early expansions, and I still don't have flight in WoD, because who the fuck wants to play that much of a shit expansion just to fly in said shit expansion.
