  1. Will watch the more in-depth video now, but I think a big thing missing here is likely population/competition for loot.

Namely how many people are likely to roll that class and how contested are your rolls going to be for loot for a particular spec?

I'm not a sweaty meta-type, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but previously Warriors were all over the place (and had massive competition for melee damage loot) while Druids had a very easy time of getting their raid sets (though resto druids of course have to compete with other healers for cloth loot).

I'm thinking I'll go Shaman this time around, as it's the class I have the least play time/experience with and honestly I have no idea what to expect in terms of how easy it'll be to get resto loot.

  2. Personal opinion:

Paladin and shaman are arguably "god-tier" raid value.

Paladins are top MT healers and will top meters regularly while almost never having mana issues. They bring Blessings, which are insanely powerful in large raid formats – they're why Alliance has a raid advantage. Of course, things like Lay On Hands and Blessing of Protection are raid-saving abilities as well.

Shaman totems, while not as powerful as Paladin Blessings ultimately are, still bring a ton of utility to raids and can also save raids with proper use. Ankh is pretty good for obvious reasons. Their group healing with Chain Heal is crazy good.

  3. I really like the quality and layout of this video tbh.
The cool class card thing and Quirks Window is cool as well.
I personally don't think it matters to that much of an extent to follow any guide like this to a T, play what you think is fun is what I believe.
But thanks either way for the information shared and keep up the good work MetaGoblin.
