I was already asked to switch to shaman or learn disc – I play holy priest and we have an average raid guild. FeelsBadman – these tier lists really polarize the community, ppl ignore the the talk behind this lists it seems.

It says a lot about the treatment priests can expect from blizz with how u expected Hpala to get buffed to A but not Hpriest

I'm switching from Paladin to Priest this expansion, not good at disc yet but I hope to be. Hopefully Holy gets some more love too.
Question: how impactful would be playing 'wrong' covenant?
If the goal is, say, alliance hall of fame (kekw) and being in top200 holy priests in m+, would playing Night Fae be a massive handicap for me? Are convenant abilities' share in healers' performance nerfed same way as for dps?
Would it be "with necro you can to up to +20, but with NF you'll cap at +17"?
Or "does not matter until key levels are high enough where you rather be rdudu"?
Or "lol NF priest, bench is that way ====>"?

Kyrian and Venthyr are close enough for m+ for disc, right? So I can pick venthyr for raid and be fine for m+? (I only do lower 20 keys)
Which Covenant do you think is the best for Disc Priest with regards to Raid and m+?

Great insights. Gonna main mw in SL, do you think mana will be an issue for mw? In BFA, essences and trinket from Maut helped me regen mana quite a bit, not sure what will happen in SL.
If you wanted a good healer for m+ and raids what would you go?
0% chance spirit shell doesn't get nurfed a ton. Absorbing 100% of incoming damage by stacking 4 disc priests will not make it into mythic week.
The thing I find frustrating with Healer balance isn't that one class is objectively better than another, that will always be the case. The problem is that it is the same healers in the same "Tiers." Holy Priest should not be the "worst" (by comparison) Healer for 3 Straight expansions, there should be more fluidity that comes from balance patches, but that has barely happened for 6 years.
Resto Shaman is a good example of how this fluidity should work, their weak spots were addressed and they have grown as a spec, while other specs have just not gotten the attention they need. Shadowlands is easily better than BfA in this respect, but that's an extremely low bar to hit.

Wooo good too see these videos! Going to try some cheese holy priest night fae build with Surge of light. That with being night elf can spec into the night fae soul bind that makes your shapeshifte stun outside of combat so shadowmeld/night fae ability cheese in PvP! Thanks Jak!
Ya the distinction is really that nearly any comp is capable of achieving AOTC.

you said MW isn't held up by Bugs anymore, right now ToM Envelop will proc Mastery on Rem targets, so we finally have Mastery affecting (one) AOE Heal. do you think that is Intended? (Vivify wil never proc Mastery on REM targets ToM or no ToM.)
because even without this potential bug I see no other Legendary as worth using (for MW). but I also think MW desperately needs the AOE Mastery interaction with or without ToM.
it being in REM and Envelop seems to work out well, but what are your thoughts on that is it OP? Should it stay and something else get weakened? should it stay in ToM, be baseline or in another legendary other then ToM?
to me, right now MW lives or dies with ToM if ToM goes live in an acceptable state MW will be alright but I see 0 fallback options once the inevitable nerf to ToM kills it. am I to pessimistic?

Between Monk and Shaman, which do you think is looking like the better M+ healer for dirty pugs.
A question about one of the priest conduits, if I may. Right now, Holy Priest uses PW: Shield only as a panic button (or, at least, I and a couple more Holies I know do so), for when we have Serenity and Guardian in CD, as it is bad in terms of mana efficiency, but with the endurance conduit which puts an extra shield into ourselves when we cast it on an ally, and specially in M+ (PvP also), where we will not stack mastery and there are lots of AoE damage, PW: Shield becomes, with a few levels of that conduit, actually more mana efficient than Flash Heal in terms of healing (even better in fact, as it is an absorb) per mana point spent. Do you think the use of PW: Shield might become usable for Holy outside of 'panic button' and go into our core rotation then?
Im actually surprised that my disc is still S tier. I thought for sure after the nerfs and how the damage output has felt lately that we would have dropped way down for m+, but this list feels good.

Switched from priest to shaman and im happy. Disc priest was way too stressful for me.

Great video! Although, once again a painful reminder that taking a well-balanced covenant for all specs and content types will be a permanent nerf for your character in one particular area. I like Mindgames much more for Disc in raid and as Shadow, but Boon of the Ascended just looks so fun in keys. Crossing my fingers they pull the ripcord at some point so I can swap to Boon for keys.
