Making GM on the alliance side was distinctly harder then HW on the horde side too. Because this was before cross server play. Given that most servers were alliance heavy, you could wait an hour for a match whereas the Horde could get in right away. In my guild, we had a dedicated team that helped do the grind and ended up with 5 GMs. I only made field marshal because I couldn’t dedicate the time. Between matches we would hearthstone to Silithis and farm the sands that granted 10 Honour for every one you turned into the camp while we waited for the next match.

I remember sleepless nights trying to achieve it before TBC dropped. I didn't get it but still, I salute everyone who did this.

Highest I got was "Blood gaurd" for the horde
Got it once in vanilla. Got it again in Classic.
It was a waste of time both times and there isn't a title you could give me or a weapon that you could give me that would ever change my mind.
