Now, at least on Cataclysm Classic you just need to do 20 dailies part of a special quest chain to reach exalted with them an get the mount as a reward.

Wow, what a horrific waste of time
And you didn't need epic riding skill to mount it.
The farm took forever on this one, but was completely worth it! I think I was one of three people that had it on detheroc for the longest time 😊
