  1. Network Engineer and Neckbeard gamer here. These programs can improve your ping 'latency' if you are far away from the Game Servers. The way they usually work is that they create a VPN connection to ExitLag and from there ExitLag is connected to multiple different ISPs. ExitLag uses Software defined networking to pick the ISP with the lowest latency path to the specific Game Server. This is good if your ISP isn't using the optimal fibre optic routes. In the ideal world your ISP will be using the lowest latency fibre optic routes to the Game Servers. If you want to reduce your packet loss while your Upload bandwidth is being 100% utilised I recommend configuring QoS on your Router. I have made a video on how to configure QoS for WoW here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxkkfiMmR8Y&ab_channel=Ozot . This QoS configuration will make sure your WoW packets are prioritised over all other packets when your Upload is being 100% utilised. It is up to your ISP to prioritise WoW packets when the Download is being 100% utilised, which they won't be doing.

  2. Not sure why the video is getting so much flack but I've used and tested the program myself. Even though I only go from 65 to 55ms when I play my region, it's reduced my packet loss a lot and the game has felt smoother to play. Also I plan on playing EU sometime next expansion if the gearing system is alt friendly enough and I mentioned in my previous addons video that I've tested the program going from 200ms to 115-120ms using ExitLag which would allow me to actually queue arenas. I've had multiple people tell me that they've benefited from the program and have had a handful of people purchase a subscription using my link. Even though the program not may work for everyone, I've made this video to reach out to those that it may help (those who are struggling with packet loss or are playing far from the datacenter). No need to hate as you can try to program for FREE WITH NO COMMITMENT to test it out yourself first. I'm currently using this program and will continue to do so in Shadowlands and ESPECIALLY if I decide to play on EU. There is no way I would play EU without this program.

  3. I wanted to support you so I used your ref code to get that 3 day trial, also I was curious to see if it would improve my ping. I went from 50ms to 47ms which isn't a huge deal for me so I uninstalled it. That's where shit hit the fan, whenever I open WoW I get random dcs and my ping starts from regular 50ms but after a minute or two it goes up to ~5000ms, other games works fine and it has to be because of ExitLag since I only tried it with WoW . If I install the program back it fixes the problem which is fucked up. I hope that FixLag is not doing this purposely and that I'll find a simple solution to my problem.

Anyway I'm really happy to see you back in WoW!
