The cutscene is fine … its well done but that was never an issue most of those …especially these prerendered ones …
the issue is this feel like them just going "what burning?" just hitting the reset so that they dont have to put the effort in fixing the story for the NEs
That said I dont play the game so I am open to people telling and showing me that the story line for that leads up to this actually properly handles at least some of the issues
Like the fact that Elune in her ignorance sacrificed the NEs for basically nothing , or that there is no real closure for what happened to them in general …
Otherwise its just a nice cinematic that leads to nothing like the Darkshore one …
The way losing Undercity and Teldrassil was handled, up until this point, felt like one of those "shock value" events – enormously terrible, then glossed over in favour of Main (And Less Interesting) Plot. It's good to see these being addressed and tied up at long last!
And keeping the new seed somewhere safe that Ysera knows about but hasn't been to in "so long"? Smells like Dragon Isle relevance to me!
