So in Afterlives: Revendreth we have seen what is actually going on within Revendreth. We have seen Garrosh being referred to as a reliable workhorse by Denathrius and that they are actively draining his anima.

So far not much was datamined in Shadowlands beta and we haven’t heard much of him, but seeing how important of a character Garrosh is, what possibly awaits for him within the Shadowlands?

Will we free Garrosh from Revendreth, will Garrosh be a raid or a dungeon boss within the Shadowlands or will we ultimately free Garrosh Hellscream from the influence of the Jailer?

  1. I just want to mention Thrall didn't cheat. There are no set rules for Mak'gora, the rules are placed by the combatants (look it up for yourself if you want.) There have been Mak'gora that weren't even conducted by Orcs and where magic was stated as being allowed. And even the first time Thrall and Garrosh dueled in the Pre-patch for Wrath of the Lich King, Thrall was using the elements and Garrosh didn't say anything against it. It is a common misconception that the rules are set in stone and that they include things like only 1 weapon and no magic. The movie didn't help with this, since they instantly said that Gul'dan cheated in his Mak'gora against Durotan. In the end the two that are fighting are the ones that make the rules so unless Garrosh had specifically told Thrall no elemental magic, then it wasn't cheating.
Side note, I know someone will probably say that him "cheating" is why he lost his connection to the elements and Doomhammer no longer responded to him for that reason. But, the actual reason Thrall lost his connection to them was because of his own self doubt, he was doubting himself about making Garrosh Warchief and was blaming himself for what had come to pass. He was dealing with turmoil within himself, and therefore wasn't really in control of his thoughts and feelings. Due to his emotional state the elements felt he wasn't worthy to wield their power since he couldn't even get his emotions under control.

  2. there will be 4 circumstances:
1, garrosh and sylvana stay bad
2, garrosh and sylvana become good
3, garrosh become good, sylvana stay bad
4, garrosh stay bad but sylvana become good

  3. i feel he would be a secret boss mythic only. like just before den we find a door to where he is held to free him. then have garrosh regain stregnth at end to kill denath. then have him attone normal reven way then go to mald to be part of the army from his fighting skills.

  4. I'd either want to kill him as a boss and send him up to "heaven" and be judged there or just save him from slavery and send him up there to be judged.
But thats about as much time i'd give him. We've had him for a while, he played a role in 1 expansion and minor nuissance in the next.
Feel like we should move on from him and not give him much more time. Kinda tired of him anyway.

  5. The ONLY valid redemption for Garrosh would be Thrall acknowledging he was right about everything he said.
Because removing his temper would ruin his character, not to mention the fact that Garrosh has been milked this whole time and still refuses to relent would make no sense for him to suddenly go soft. That's how durable his will truly is.
And I would relish to actually see Scourgelord Garrosh from Heartstone come to life so that's one reasonable way of bringing him back to life.
Also, isn't Garrosh locked inside Castle Nathria? Aka the 1st raid? Maybe nothing's been data-mined because it's a mythic ONLY ability.

  6. Not that I'm anti shadowlands, but its amazing how Bliizzard is facilitating an environment where they get to use old content and models and re-sell it to the player base, and we eat it up. If anything we should be prying for unique new content, not getting nostalgic nerd boners for old bosses.

  7. Blizz already said that time doesn't work the same in the shadowlands. Who's to say Garrosh hasn't already paid for his miniscule (perspective-wise) sins while he was alive. He really didn't do that much compared to what we've been dealing with recently……omgggg he took out an offensive stronghold in Kalimdor.
Garrosh died in WoD, years ago lorewise – should be Channing Tatum in This is the End at this point

  8. I don't think Garrosh will accept to redeem himself.
We already have a good example of redemption with Kael'Thas, who commited the same crimes as Garrosh. Kael'Thas thinks himself worthy of a redemption and powerful enough to claim it.
On the other hand, Garrosh doesn't want any of this : He's simply too proud and will continue to deny. Soooo… I think he'll end up in the Maw (in 9.1 or something).

And there, I think he will help us deal with Sylvanas and free Anduin.

  9. Garrosh did nothing wrong. Thrall is the only reason Garrosh is even in this xpac.
    Storyline time.
Garrosh gets free from his chains once he finds out thrall is in the shadowlands. The jailer will free him to kill thrall. Draka will find out thrall is her baby and stop garrosh with our help.

  10. Why not just go to Draenor and tell Grommash that his son is being tortured and humiliated in a place called Revendreth. Then we proably wont have to do anything more then that. Grommash would find his way there and take care of it himself (along with a band of pissed off iron hordes).

  11. Inb4 "has his soul been redeemed enough for him to pass on?" A furry hand touches your shoulder, you turn around and see Taran Zhu. "Let him stand trial in Pandaria."
