I don't see this game lasting much longer making every item an endless fetch Quest is not fun they're turning crafting into an endless chore
Does this devalue the Rank 5? If normal casual daily play will get you 10 Korthite Crystals per week, then it will take 4 weeks to get 40. Since Soul Cinders are currently available at about 500 per week, it takes 4 weeks to get enough to craft a Rank 6. This may lead people to skipping the Rank 5s altogether for the first month until the price of the Korthite Crystals stabilize.

You should maybe attach PTR tag. This doesnt seem like what blizzard would do, could you imagine the outcry if you gather enough soul cinder for a few legendary upgrades but you cant buy the legendaries because of lack of korthite crystals?
To me it seems like they will add more sources to get this, its makes zero sense that you will only get them from dailies and that estimated 5 per week.

This sounds like a very bad system. It'll be very difficult for casual players to get a single rank 6 base item unless they have a dedicated crafter in their guild. The leather and mail items are already way too expensive and this will make it worse.

Question for legendary gear: I know that you can add a gem socket to Legendary gear ( if its in the appropriate slot), but can you upgrade a legendary item with a socket and still maintain the socket? For instance if I have a Rank 1 legendary ring which has been socketed, can I upgrade the legendary ring to Rank5 in 9.1 and still have the gem socket in place?? Thanks in advance!
