I think there was a quest to fight Chogall (forgot how to spell it) outside of Dire Maul but I don't remember how it starts off.
A lot of the dungeons got quest and lore reworks as well, so maybe if you needed xp you could run Kalimdor based dungeons?
Stinglasher is a beast and also tameable. you can use track beasts to find it in any of the 2 hives
edit: you couldn't pick the quest "to the summit" because you already had the followup "the grimtotem are coming"
