That's an interesting point about the lighting. I've been trying to put my finger on why Retail is reminding me of EverQuest I, and I think that's it. I think it's a lighting thing.
I like the fact that you talk about immersion. I main a human pala tank and all my alts are kaldorei. I feel immersion only with these two races. Nice to see I am not alone in getting "in the movie" as we say around here. Great content!
I think the loch quest line actually starts in one of the little gate outposts from Dun Morogh. I could be wrong. Either way I like this play through and the immersion! I like the old zones better, as well.
If you're interested, you can take a portal to Ironforge in the future and avoid the tram or flightpath all together. Just go to the Mage Tower in Stormwind, take the portal to Boralus. Then in the portal room inside Boralus, there is a portal to Ironforge. Definitely less immersive; but way quicker.
Omg, I just randomly played this after weeks of watching your hardcore runs, and I'm shocked by how easy it is to lvl up in retail… it's seems so hard to die… There were couple of instances where you pulled 4-5 mobs without any plans and still survived even without healing or popping potion… Is it always like that in Retail? I mean even in higher lvls? I've never played any post Cata expansions.
Now I need to get my Pala or Druid going…. 😁😁🤗
I really like this new beginning with the Pala class.
Colluding with a couple of old village busybodies to help a young couple get their freak on is just about the most benevolent thing we ever do in WoW.

"WoW's 18th anniversary…yikes" lmfao my exact reaction too. Started playing when i was 12 now im 26
What kind of no life spends their time playing this crap and making videos about it and even watching it? Biggest waste of humanity ever.

51:01 When I played and leveled all my characters pre Cat, you'd kill Hogger. Now it seems that they take him into custody?? weird…
