  1. It is so fucking sad that people don't seem to realize that paid transmog makes the game worse. If they continue down this road.. Just another way that blizzard can trivialize players who put in time compared to those who are willing to pay for their progress. Cosmetics are the main for of prestige in this game… Fuck you blizz for diminishing the rewards I work for.

  2. Imagine the pitch session to Activision that would work in our favor. " Get this okay? We make the players happy, by focusing on content, and not build around systems. This streamlines our processes with tons of content and not as much money wasted on the design loop. Now that everyone is super happy with the game, we can insert transmog sets for huge GPs."

  3. Change to fish feast is good. M+ people need to recognize that they’re playing a challenge mode of the game, balancing in the game should not take M+ into account after +15. If a class/spec/item whatever is adequate at +15 but that thing can’t hang at +25 then that’s just too bad. It’s actually important that the class/spec/item is balanced for pvp and raiding.

  4. quick correction: the shadowlands preorder transmog does not require you to get the epic edition or better (to get the mount) you just need to have preordered shadowlands of any edition and then you could get the quest to get the set from anyone who had gotten epic or better from the mount.

  5. Didn't they say they're not making anymore RTS games, which is why most of those employees left to go back their own? Seems silly knowing that to think they will make SC3 or WC4. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  6. The only thing about the transmog set in the store is that they priced it a little too high. Even Guild Wars 2 that makes most of their money off the store only charges around $10 for their armor transmogs. And honestly, GW2 transmogs are far better…

  7. I think warcraft 4 could delve more into the cosmic war rather than just azeroth. I think this way they can expand the background lore of the warcraft universe without making a mess of wow stories to date.

  8. Man, I’ll give this a listen, but it seems someone (or too many anyway) are jaded af and just can’t be appeased. I have fun with WoW, and while I don’t speak for everyone, I can say the “nerfed xp” isn’t even an issue. Leveling is almost as fast as a full heirloom set and realm bonus.

These titles are just a bit whingy and jaded-complainer sounding. No wonder I un-subbed.

  9. From a business standpoint, this is why I'm surprised they haven't added housing yet. Look at how much money games like SWOTOR make hand over fist on new housing locations both private and guild, building titles, furniture sets and individual set pieces, etc etc. It's all instanced just like with dungeons, it furthers other gameplay by having pieces scattered to collect via drops and achievements and such… and being able to purchase it all via WoW tokens makes for an added currency sink, same as selling those furniture pieces you gather on the ah rather than adding them to your collection. There's no way they'd NOT make money at it. Servers like Moon Guard or Wyrmrest would downright melt from all the casuals and RPers buying it up like catnip.

  10. problem with the paid transmog is yes FF14 has it but they give you also working expansion full of content and with enjoyable classes that are fun to play and work and each single one of them is viable on top of it. Blizz gives you empty promises everything is broken half of specs is non viable and then they release infantile set for real money that just pisses you off even tho it makes sense as a business move and worst part is that set even tho it makes you look like a clown is something that clearly got a lot of dev resources and time into it which is something they dont have right now

  11. Companies like ActivisionBlizzard recognize revenue on the accrual basis and not when cash is received. What this means is that when Blizzard gets an influx of 6 month subs, they record an increase to cash and an increase to deferred revenue (which is actually a liability account). This liability is then written down in subsequent months, and revenue is recognized when the services are provided. You can see this in ActivisionBlizzard's financials; they have over $1 billion in deferred revenues on the balance sheet.

While investors still obviously like these pre-paid services that customers purchased (as it ensures revenue in the near future), the idea that companies do this to bump up revenue at the end of a quarter is false because the majority of the revenue will be recognized in 2021 in this instance.

  12. lol, this is coming from a game that is still (even with the update of character customization) Is decades behind on player customization. I'm not impressed, but I know so many who will be, and thus, as ya said: it works. So why bother trying to clean up core visual choice and designs when they can make players pay for individual things to cover it up.
    yaaay, blizz did it again.

  13. Warcraft IV could tell the story of what happens to Azeroth while we are in the Shadowlands. I envision a war that Turalyon and Genn lead against the Horde, which coincides with Yrel's coming to Azeroth toteach us the "love" of the light.

  14. With all the staff leaving and joining previous Blizz staff… I wouldn't be surprised if Activision tells Blizz to add a legal policy to stop staff leaving Blizz to join other studios from ex Blizz staff

  15. As much as I dislike the Transmog shit, I have to admit my main take away was that Demo Lock is finally getting an interrupt. I am amazed it's taken them this long to give them one considering how important interrupts are to both bosses and open world mobs, in addition to how locked in they are to using the Felgaurd.
