Holy Priest is the darkhorse of Mythic+ healers, and while many are quick to write the spec off I’ve been extremely successful with the off-meta selection and think it deserves more of a shot. This guide will walk you through the build that I utilize, how to maximize it and other tips for healing Bosses, the seasonal Prideful Affix and best manage your cooldowns with your team.

  1. I'm glad to see content creators finally getting out of the 'Holy priest is the worst of all healers' (or even 'it is not good enough to use in', though it has never been your case) for (even high) M+, as I have always defended. I'm even beggining to find people in PUGs who prefers a Holy over a Disc priest in mid level (10-15) M+, though a few still kicks me out of the party or make some despective comments (or both, with the first thing after do the second one). Anyway, good tips in the video, thanks for it.

  2. The only thing I disagree with a little is the emphasis of haste, because it applies after the flash concentration buff : So already have near 1 sec casts, I think a good balance would be nice though! Versatility is awesome 🙂

  3. Thankyou for making this video! As a Holy Priest Main I hope this will educate other M+ players to the benefits of Holy Priests. The number of times I've been uninvited from groups because "lol holy priest".

  4. People always assume i am venthyr and when i am not i get very hateful messages, forgive them because they don’t nt know what they are missing out. Holy priest is already meta they just don’t know it yet and jak is the only kind enough to prove it lol 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

  5. If people actually had the guts to try out crit/vers for a change on HPriest they wouldn't be struggling so much in m+, really a shame in my opinion since these stats have been letting me run high M keys.

  6. Thank you, you have a surprising amount of power over community perception and I'm glad you're using that power in an honest way. This will help so much with people thinking Holy isn't viable for +10's just because tier lists say it's not the best/easiest for +20! c: Here's hoping Blizzard doesn't think Holy is overpowered because it's not, it still has to work just as hard or harder than the other specs, the playstyle is just different from raid healing – we definitely needed an expansion where we're finally at least semi-viable, they better not take that away from us! 😀

  7. This video just gave me the push to stop trying to make disc works for me. I love my disc spec in raid, but I just HATE it in M+. I always felt bad to go as holy. But this season, with flash concentration, holy is fun af to play and if i keep up holy fire, shadow dot and mindgames on the target, I can do a lot of dmg, as much as if I was disc even. You also get Hymn of Hope for mana regen on the fly in combat and the stun with chastise.

  8. Apotheosis triggers cosmic ripple. This means if you cast sanctify, serenity, apotheosis, 2 cosmic ripples will be cast for 8000 healing total. And because you recover those abilities faster, you'll get more procs of cosmic ripple each healing 4000 total.
