Time gated secrets are…. hype
If it's intertwined with TloZ Ocarina, best bet to find a gem is some kind of temple of time. The only thing i could think of is the cavern of time, which coincides with the anniversary area. But i am just spitballing here. Could be Stormwind Castle or Scarlet Monastery too since they are kind of holy places and have a small resemblance to the temple of time and SM has the whole 'use a key for vanilla dungeon variants', for that time travelling vibe. But i doubt the secret questline would go as far as to do that.
Maybe I'm being too simple but my first thought was the different coloured gems in Un'Goro, perhaps some kind of combination. I'm way off I'm sure, but that was my first thought lol
Wonder if it might have a tie to the Peculiar Fish….

My theory is the Stone of Prophecy has to be used somewhere or on something related to dark magic. Either somewhere Scourge related or Legion related. The actual key itself talks about dark magic.

i found 2 different torn notes on the gound in the anniversary area, one of them talks about a key, it was under the fashion frenzy platform.
i swear if at the end of this secret we dont get that little tune like when we open up chests in zelda games imma be so sad, it would be such a missed opportunity to do a nod to an old nod. stuff like linken back in the day is some of the stuff that made wow feel like wow.
