  1. I run Torghast solo as a Holy Priest and I've found them to be 'alright'. I think their value probably goes up on healer/maybe tank spec runs. Though I absolutely agree that they underperform – especially in regards to auto damage. I had a pretty decent L8 run with the AoE silence pet last night though. Managed to stack his damage to 300%+ through Hungering Anima and since I'm playing Holy it's pretty easy to offset the % damage taken in combat with healing. He basically one-shot packs of mobs with his AoE and made the whole thing SO MUCH faster than it typically is on my HPriest.

Not sure if you mentioned it in the video, but you can also revive the pets basically instantly if you heal them to full yourself once they go down. But yeah, it feels almost like an oversight/bug that they do such bad damage outside of their abilities (or even with, seeing that Horgul dps). Even with all the stacked damage I mentioned earlier, Valioc did basically nothing outside of using his AoE.

  2. The tank pet stacked with health, when they die they do % dmg, and they heal 50% more and heal you when they heal. That combo let’s the beast destroy everything and keep you healed.

  3. For me the beast actively hurt my run. Apart from eating up anima power choices, it prevents me from single pulling elite mob duos (and in general causes unintended additional pulls) while it is unable to hold aggro on more than one mob. And Anamnestic Memories is a trap. I took it instead of the "Dying Mawrats explode"-power because I thought it at least does something. Often the dog doesn't loot stuff out of combat but he has, occasionally, run away in combat to loot, which is a problem…

  4. Torghast is bizarre – it's almost nonsensical they would spend so much time on an expansion 'feature' that does nothing but give a crafting currency and some generic adventure table characters. What were they thinking by putting literally no rewards in there beyond that, and Twisting Corridors is hours of gameplay that offers nothing beyond a couple of underwhelming achievement rewards. It's almost as if the different departments working on it never actually got around to asking each other what Torghast was supposed to actually be.

  5. They are a waste of time, i went in with a friend both destro locks same lvl and i took all the dog stuff and my friend took no dog stuff. I has less dps towards the end. Completely useless.

  6. Gotta massively disagree with you on this. Tank pet with the 100% dmg power and lose 1% health per turn in combat, comboed with the explode on death and stacked with as many health boosts for him you can makes him an absolute beast. He will die and explode on big pulls and instakill anything that isn't elite. Elites will be severely damaged and stunned so you can finish them.

Add the power where he heals you and now he heals you whenever he dies and regens his health.

Beast turned layer 8 into an absolute cakewalk. All bosses were stuck fighting him, getting stunned by him, he would explode on them and by that point I could easily finish them off, including the final boss.

Their utility is through the roof.

  7. As a Fury i have to say the event is a cool idea. A pet would be cool if you clear both wings with your bear, but i am doing way more dmg otherwise. Not like in most other content xD
EDIT: Note that the 100% damage increase scales with the power where the dog deasl damage equal to its max hp when it dies. I build a pretty cool build with what was essentially a creeper dog. Still wasn´t woorth it though. Same with the Teethh collar.

  8. I mean even if the 'dogs' were available in twisting, it would be nothing more than a companion pet out.
The lack olf damage they do is laughable.

"Undercooked" – hopefully down the track we can send it back to the kitchen (blizz) and get it cooked through more.

Enjoy your content you put out thoroughly btw, liked and subscribed! Cheers for your time and effort and creating interesting content.

  9. As a guardian druid, I guess I'll try the one with the haste buff.. It's not like I have a problem in Torghast layer 8; it was doable in like iLvL 170-175 or so, and being closer to 200 makes it easy enough, so I might as well try this for what it is – something to change things up a bit, just for fun. ^^
