I love me some furbolgs, I even speak their language
YAY furblog list 😀 tried to find a list of these on your channel when got a hamster and wanted a dwarf / furbolg themed name. suggested on twitter when couldnt find these here. Named him General Stormsqueak in the end. happy vibes <3
Your content is still more original than whatever the other guys are putting out now.
Hiru keeps recycling content, Madseason is still in Limbo, and Platinum is Blizzard's whipping boy now
Since I learned furbolg language from winterpelt now my tauren speaks taurahe, orcish and furbolg that's kinda cool haha very underrated aspect of an adventure game
What's cool about the Winterpelts is that you actually can learn and speak Furbolg after their questline, which is one of the only methods to communicate with another faction players (if they also can speak Furbolg)
Love the Furbolg, but legit they are the most punished race on Azeroth. Legit just no winning for these bear folks
bit oot but.. i very want the furbolg bear form for druids xD
That’s crazy I completely forgot about the winterspring fur bolgs until you revealed them as #1
2:20 “you got the snow coming down”
*is raining*
Dislike FURBOLGS ARE NEVER POINTLESS
Cool, Im thumbs up 👍🏾 number 1k!! 😂😎
One would have to think at some point you just let nature takes its course and quit saving the Furbolgs from corruption. They are clearly destined to be corrupt and people need to just let it happen.
I remember one thing I and guildies would do : the Timbermaw Hold Death run! Basically get a lower level character to the Felwood side and see how far we could make it through. Back then they attacked, now they just do nothing.
Congrats on 500k subs Crendor! Thanks for all the great, high-quality non-content ♥
This video really does drive home how often WoW just goes, uh they're corrupted, here's the quest lol
I know some hidden lore about the Furbolgs. I thought I'd include these tidbits here.
1) Inside Timbermaw Hold, a path leads down to a wooden blockade covered in claw marks. This can be found in both Classic and Retail WoW. It is unknown what it was ever meant to be. While Furbolg are often on a discussion for Alliance race candidates, they often were the unpopular picks, and especially fell off with the Pandaren being playable. A similar entrance is near the Blackmaw camp in Azshara, suggesting it's a location under Hyjal.
2) The Drogbar, as they exist in retail, are a re-design. The original intent was a Furbolg variant, that explained their origins more, and were the "ancient Furbolg, but different" referenced in the War of the Ancients novels. Art for the original design was in the Legion Artbook. As a nod to it, the new Furbolg models in Dragonflight used the Drogbar animation skeleton.
3) Ursin is a realm in the US. All realm names are WoW related. There is no Ursin that we know of in World of Warcraft – the bear wild gods are Ursoc and Ursol. It might have been a misspelling of Ursine, the Furbolg language. Season of Discovery recently added Idol of Ursin Power, which is its first official reference. There is some speculation Ursin might have had a larger role that's not happened yet, such as another bear wild god, but Blizzard has never clarified.
Furbolgs are just peak Warcraft imo. There's just something about Furbolgs that make me feel idk, at home? I'm not sure how to explain it but I always get happy whenever we go to a Furbolg area.
I really hope that Alliance get Furbolg in the future. Maybe they could do a revamp of Azuremist Isle while they're at it and show the Stillpine now prospering alongside the Draenei and they then decide they have recovered enough with the help of the Draenei that they join the Alliance. Would be pretty awesome.
It's really sad that Blizzard never gave the Furbolg a redemptive storyline. Playing Warcraft 3, you get the impression that prior to the Burning Legion's invasion of Ashenvale, the Furbolgs were close allies of the Night Elves, and their corruption was such a big theme of northern Kalimdor in Vanilla WoW. I really wish there had been quests and ongoing stories to make the Furbolg's a kind of unofficial Alliance/Night Elf race, a bit like some ogres are for Horde, or better yet, like the Dryads and Ancients for the Night Elves.
Biggest thing I love with the Winterpelt is their language is cross-faction in /say and /yell, and available to anyone who goes and does the short grind to cap it out.
It's a fully accessible means to communicate across the faction language barrer, and I think the first time an additional language has been available to permanently 'learn' in game, to anyone.
Ogres next?
This whole time I could only think of how much Furbolg blood i have upon my hands over all these years
Holy hell, I remember watching the podcast you did with Dodger, Jesse and TotalBiscuit back when I was playing Guild Wars 2, only to now be watching you make WoW videos when I've finally gotten into wow. On a whim I remembered that your name on the podcast was "WoWCrendor" and not just Crendor. It's awesome to see you still making content and being alive still. Back then I just liked you for your takes on the podcast, but it's honestly making me emotional to see you still okay. I know TB would be happy you, Dodger and Jesse are all moving forward. Take care of yourself man. Oh and make a new series about Classic Anniversary!!
