  1. Professions will definitely get overhauled in the next expansion. They re not gonna do something major like redesigning the profession system between patches. Plus I remember someone making a video about blizzard having a job opening for a developer with experience in professions. So its almost certain that next expansion something big is happening to professions

  2. they cant make these tiers set bonuses or mount skins for professions or it just becomes more pay 2 win as the token is available and will just incentivise people to just buy a token for gold and dump that money into it, the only way you can make it not pay 2 win is buy making the items for professions is making it bop or remove the token. none of these are likely the best way to do it is by putting it on a new zone vendor so they incentivise playing the game instead of dumping there disposable income on the token so they are keep up. it may be alright if you have played the game for years but if you have just started the amount of gold you need for a rank 6 legendary is ridiculous especially if you aren't on a high pop realm…. the best way to implement it is the way they are doing so even legion legendaries are better than this system and thats before they make it so you can purchase from a vendor

  3. The problem with professions is there is now a token you can buy to get your gold and if you put the best items on them its prettty much pay2win as you are incentivise to buy gold as its the fastest way to obtain this item, unless you make the items you craft bop and the materials you need to craft them bop as well then they will always be considered pay2win…. so the real issue with professions is the wow token, they will never be able to design wow professions like they used to as you can always get enough gold buy just using your wallet, the gate to obtains these items in previously was how long it will take to farm the gold to get it now you can just buy the token and cut that out.

  4. One thing that can be doen to make professions more fun would be: Transmoggable cosmetic items of the previous raid. For eg. Blacksmiths can create transmog plate pieces of the the Castle Nathria set this patch and the next.

  5. So far I have not seen anything to get me hyped for 9.2 I have seen a bunch of the cut scenes for 9.2, left me, not even mehh. This is just an expansion that should have been left with WOD. Sorry to be such a downer, but I am trying really, really hard to get hyped about something….

  6. I'm really annoyed at how many materials are required to level the armor recipes to level 4. They basically set up the system so that it benefits guilds where people pool materials, and people who had a lot of gold going into the expansion to buy materials. Anyone like me coming back poor from Cataclysm and being a more casual player doesn't stand a chance at levelling up those skills. I would like to see some more options for transmog like dyes or dye sets, where you can make all of your armor match a color scheme or make it glow or whatever.

  7. Profession.

    Rules:

    – All crafting gear, weapon, toys and mounts are BoE (even mithic crafting gear and weapon).

    *No more raw materials in table mission.

    – Progression for all profressions (acount bound);

    – Every profession trainer has a reputation (acount bound). Once you got max level for a profession you unlock a daily quest acount bound, it means only one quest for that profession per acount. This quest for crafters asks for created objetcs for the profession, so you can complete from any character. The quest for gathering professions asks for raw materials. The crafters trainer offers components (acount bound), the more special the item the more need the reputation to buy even rares components needed for that item. The gathering trainer offers specials tools (acount bound), this tools dont need to be equiped and can be combined with a second tool, offers benefits for your professions, the tool you can buy have betters verssions, unlocks with reputation. With the tools you can gathering special materials for recepies from archeology.

    – Secondary professions;

    Archeology: You can create recepies (BoE). While you gathering fragments, you can get pages for recepies (BoP) that you cand combine once you have the set. Once you get one set for recepie the archeology trainer can change some page from others recepies and give you one page from that recepie you already got one set. This recepies are better verssions (more item level) from the basic that you know from you profession teacher (for now I only think about weapons, gear, toys and mounts). The item level go from normal doungeon up to mithic raid. Once you get one high recepie, you can change one low recepie for one page of high recepie. The mithic recepie is more a quest that you can give to any trainer and choose what to learn, this quest is one per week and acount bound. Also need to know the lower verssion from that objetc. All recepies use the materials that you can gather or buy in auction house, but the components are from the trainer and his reputation. Depending on the zone you look for fragments for archeology is the pages you can found.

    Fishing: Same, but the fish pole have variants. One whit one point in fishing, other with full points in fishing and the others with the reputation. All fishing poles are acount bound.

    Cooking: The special recepies from archeology only work in open world (all food is BoE), also the recepies are for easy life in open world (more speed, more speed in mount, more speed for crafting) and special food for trainers, once a day per acount you can give the trainer his/her favorte food and get reputation.

    – Primarie professions:

    *The item level from the gear and weapons drops depending on yours archievements for the character. Exemple, you have item level equal to raid mitic but you are in normal raid, your item level drops to the minimum item level request for that level, unless you kill all the boses then your item level there go up to the same item level that drops there, same with all levels from dungeons, raid and pvp (I dont do pvp to make an example).

    *The benefits that give crafting gear and weapons, also the tier set from the gear may not work in dungeon, raid and pvp (depending blizzard).

    *You can equip crafting gears and weapons of equal level from normal raid.

    *You can equip up to 5 crafting gears and weapons of equal level from heroic raid. One more if you have one crafting profession. Limited erased if you have one crafting profession to max level (acount bound).

    *You can equip up to 1 crafting gear or weapon of equal level from mitic raid. One more if you have one crafting profession. Limited erased if you have three crafting profession to max level (acount bound).

    *World bosses only drops items depending on the achivenments from the character.

    Gear: Have tier set bonuses, only work in open world (more damage and more survival).

    Weapons: Have bonuses, maybe only work in open world (more damange).

    Rings: May have bonuses or tier set bonuses or both, maybe only work in open world (more survival).

    Trinket: One more special efect that only work in open world.

    Consumable items: Extras special consumables that only work in open world (more damage, more survival, special efects like a drop agro or a big jump, all are BoE and dont need to have anyting special to use).

    Gathering: The tools sold by the trainers depending on your points from the profession helps to have more materials, but the tools sold by the trainers with reputation help to gathering special materials for the recepies from archeology. All items gathering are BoE, so you dont need to gathering if you dont want.

  8. This profession problem is simple. Make the content give a buff or achievement that allows them to wear the crafted items that only crafters can use. Then we all have to go through the content but only the crafters can make the gear.

  9. Professions have always got the short end of the stick when it comes to development, much like PvP. It's unfortunate, they could do things like use old mats from previous expansions included in new ones as appropriate, there could have been some new professions added over time but i'm not sure creatively Blizzard is up to the challenge to be honest…after all housing STILL isn't a thing in the game YEARS after almost everyone else in other games has it. Oh well, maybe someday.

  10. The legendary system in SL is a massive cash grab from blizz, it's so freaking expensive to buy legendary that casual players are damn near forced to buy tokens if they want any access to content
