Man the lore of Shadowlands is such a mess, wrath of the lich king would be much more worth your time
Haha the shadowlands story will make even less sense than Legion to you.
To get the background of scuffed Sauron you need to complete the story through to completing the final raid in Wrath of the Lich King. But he's been in the game on the sidelines since Vanilla.
You don't need to do shadowlands the dragonflight pre-launch event killing those elementals will get you to 60 fast if you haven't noticed you can gained a level every time you did the encounter there's four elemental Lords you should do each one

That video angered so many Warcraft fans because we waited for years for the bolvar lich King to be up and walking around just to have a power boosted sylvanas solo him. Technically though the bolvarl lich King wasn't as powerful as the Arthas Lich king because he had frostbourne
Sylvanas isint part of the horde anymore btw
You should defo check out more lore videos to get up to speed on who scuffed brand is, and why salvanas will cheat on you and bin your dinner.
In the World of Warcraft login screen(where you enter your username and password) there is a Cinematics tab to the far right near bottom that lets you watch all the major expansion cinematics in the game
I think playing through Shadowlands now (or later) will be a fun experience. The biggest issues with it are the Jailor (lorewise) and the patch pacing which will no longer be an issue.

Why would Blizzard spend a ton of money developing a single player RPG that's a one time payment to buy instead of a recurring monthly subscription that would also likely make a bunch of people stop paying the WoW subscription for some amount of time while they play that instead?
Hey Omario, there are spoilers for Warcraft 3 in this comment section. If you wanna play that game truly blind (which I would highly recommend) then be careful, any comment about the Lich King is likely to contain a major spoiler. The Wrath of the Lich King Cinematic also contains said spoiler, as does anything related to that expansion.
She looks different because she's a Banshee, an undead Banshee. You need to watch Warbringers – Sylvanas to get a little better understanding of her story. As for the bald lava guy, Bolvar Fordragon, watch the video of the in game cutscene Battle at The Wrath Gate from the Wrath of The Lich King xpan.
