I don't know, rogues have decent damage but, not good enough. In single target that is. Assisnation is doing alright but outlaw and sub is pretty mediocre.

Outlaw: Remove loaded dice as a talent and move it as a reworked mastery. This new mastery reduces the cd of RtB and reduces the chance of 1 roll buffs. That removed chance is evenly distributed to 2 and 5 buff rolls.
Subtlety: Have eviscerate either refresh SnD or rupture. Shuriken Storm per target hit up to 5 increase Black Powder by 10% per stack.
Assassination: rupture has a 10% chance to tick twice?
Sub needs much more love than just this. And the big problem is as pointed out, since we don't have raid utility (Also shroud isn't really utility and is pretty irrelevant since invisibility potions exist so technically you don't even need a rogue for that) we need much much more damage to compensate bringing a rogue to anything. Rogue doesn't necessarily need more utility if they all have more damage to compensate the lack of utility. Sub is the worst in that regard coz it has Average-middle of the pack single target damage but can only do single target damage, the thing is, a lot more class can do better single target damage couple with better aoe, burst, cleave and or utility in general. On top of sub inherent design flaws … Atm Blizz needs to be way more creative in their approach with classes in general.
To end this for sub in particular, imo they need at least, an aura buff, some kind of 2-3 target cleave (Like the passive in the legion artefact weapon) and a meaningful 1min CD whether it is reworking Shadow Dance or something else (Like putting Shadow Blades at 1 min since sub essentially is a .. melee Fire mage that's how I see it at least).
Just bring back echoing blades for assass, or at least increase the aoe cap, are they really afraid of an uncapped aoe assass rogue ๐ ooooo scary fan of knives.

I have a few ideas for sub (not sure how good or broken they'd be). Make the pvp talent for vanish cd but lower health baseline, make rupture do something more, black powder could spread rupture. I think this could boost cleave with better ruptures, aoe with spread ruptures, and burst with more vanishes
honestly a outlaw potency conduit that incresed the chance of sinister strike to hit a second time up to 10% would be pretty good. (i am fine with rng conduits if they increase the odds of a bit of rng.) like imagine taking weapon master and getting like 55% chance for sinister to hit a second time, it could even make the third hit conduit interesting to use as it should make that one proc more often as well.
