Theorycrafting, numbers, simulations are overrated. This is where we make bold claims with absolutely no proof to back them up purely based on gut feeling and intuition.

  1. its just simply BM can move around and MM is very stationary, maybe you do less damage but it feels better for a lot of ppl in M+ especially, just being able to move.
also exotic pets and the whole "beast master" rexxar fanboy stuff too

  2. Elemental is in the perfect place: strong enough to be good, but not enough to be on the radar for nerfs. The future looks bright my shaman brothers and sisters, the spirits have told me.

  3. I'm playing a hunter to control as many pets as possible. If I have to play melee with hunter, then I will play rogue, dk, monk instead. If I have to play petless range, then I will play lock, mage.

  4. Rather than nerfing Shadow Priest, I do hope that Blizzard learns from the reception of the re-design to widen out the gameplay of each spec. Their options of dealing with different encounters is a good thing to highlight.

  5. BM Hunter is all about class fantasy. Even though MM is better, I can't bring myself to play it because the optimal way to play it is without a pet.
No thanks, fam; I like my pets. I worked hard for them. I also liked being fully mobile at all times.

Sometimes class fantasy is just more important than spec performance.

  6. Less than 5 mins in and you've made so many bad calls. MM is not a B tier spec in M+ it's solidly performing in the A possibly S tier. Fire is incredibly strong in M+ on the beta as well with most serious mage players trending toward it now.

  7. movement. BM doesn't have to stand still. While every other ranged class is trying to squeeze in that last cast or popping movement cooldowns before they have to move out of that mechanic, BM is just bouncing around dpsing away. Not a hunter here but if I was that is why I'd play BM or marksman.

  8. Your dry humor is super good. I laughed quite a bit. Probably the best one is:
"I'll tell you why the Elemental Shaman will be the best dps spec in raid. Because if it isn't then I lose my raid spot." and
"Affliction lock will be FoTM for 2 years." Haha, nice 😀

  9. BM hunters love their pets, love moving around constantly, and love how simple the spec is.
    That’s fine.

But they also have a weirdly strict view of what a “hunter” is.
(Ranged + Pet) It’s dumb af and super illogical.

Also I don’t understand playing a class for years and only ever wanting to play 1 single spec for 90% of that time. I get why they like the spec, I enjoy it too, but their almost vitriolic hatred for the other specs and refusal to play them makes ZERO sense to me.

I don’t like to use the term “Huntard” but…. yeah

  10. That tierlist is so wrong, according to beta, fire mage is currently the strongest spec for M+ and probably for raid aswell. However I believe that this video was uploaded few days later after it was recorded (hence the outdated info) and I cant really blame it on the channel rather than on Blizzard, because they keep changing everything really, really often.

  11. Hunter main here personally i will be playig MM ive mained MM since BC the class fantacy dose it for me MM is what a hunter is suppose to be i remember they days when steady shot ise to Proc lock and load it was amazing i use to play some SV in cata when it use.to be a dot spec that too was amazing i dont know why they changed it thats the BEST SV ever was imo. I dont mind the cast of aimed yeah its a bit too long imo should be like 2 seconds at most . I stop at cata my pc died i grow up started playing again in BFA still loved MM still smashing DPS meters never played BM not really my thing it dosent appeal to me in anyway . As for shadow lans Venthry MM i have a feeling flayed shot with dead eye talent along with lock amd load procs will be tons off proc dmg yeah its a bit of RNG but a bit of RNG is fun

  12. 1:52 That is because Blizz tries to get more people to play Marks, not by making Marks fun etc. but by nerfing Beast (This seems to be the Blizz way) make people play a certain spec by nerfing the other speccs they like 😛

  13. i think some of the reasons are. ( i am not a BM main )

Exotic Pets, Any hunter thats put time into pet collecting, wont wanna lose access to them via swapping to MM
BM Will always get into groups, like outlaw and assassination. it brings good utility that groups will want.

between these 2 reasons hunters never feel the requirement to swap across from BM realistically… theres prolly more reasons.. but these 2 are the major 2 i could think of.
