I guess we weren’t allowed a prepatch release date AND an actual release date. Shadowlands has been delayed, but prepatch arrives October 13th

  1. Your potential new release windows are pretty much the same as i thought they might be. I think they are pretty obvious.
The first window beeing november 17th giving 2 weeks of leveling, then heroic opening december 1st, mythic december 8th, allowing World first about 2 weeks to happen. But that would be just 3 weeks of delay for Shadowlands release. I dont think they can fix enough in 3 weeks so its the less propable window.
I guess they will take about 1,5 months (6 weeks) delay for further tuning to give it a good release.
Meaning Shadowlands release on december 8th giving Blizzard 2 weeks for critical bug fixes before Christmas.
So heroic Raid would start in January, i guess january 12th and mythic raid on january 19th.
They did Patch 8.1 and BfA Seaon 2 like that. Patch 8.1 hit live servers in mid december 2018. BfA Season 2 started late January 2019

  2. You know what would be more amazing? Actually allowing enough time, and not screwing your customers over by announcing a date then only 4 weeks later delaying it. This is more about making Q3 earnings look good.

  3. It's good to see them taking their quality of game reputation seriously. After Warcraft refunded I don't Blizzard can take another hit to the fan base if they want to keep being a AAA game developer

  4. how about Blizz focussing on making the whole world viable at end game instead of mainly new isolated zones every expac? How about Blizz making more actual playable content for a new expansion and not multiple uninteresting complicated interwoven layered systems that are irrelevant in 2 years.

  5. I'm not angry about having to wait longer but I'm just bored of BFA. I keep finding myself feeling like I'm wasting my time playing WoW right now. Like there isn't any point haha. I'm just ready for something fresh.

  6. I agree with the points you've made in the video Kelani.. but still the fact that you didn't bring up a legitimate reason why people might be annoyed with this announcement is pretty telling..
Many people will have likely booked time off coinciding with the original given launch date..
While some will be able to re-negotiate their time off.. for some it's not that easy and now they are staring into the face of taking time off for a new expansion which isn't going to launch at the proper time..

I agree overall with Blizzard on this. But still they have to have known 2-4 weeks ago the state of the game..
If they had announced this 3 weeks ago it wouldn't sting as much because it would have given people more time to change their leave schedules.. but as for now.. there are some people who have to apply for leave a month in advanced that are looking to have a sad time around original launch date with nothing more than "trying out the new leveling systems" to look forward to..

  7. I'm just pissed that I wont really be able to play at launch now. My vacation time is set. Bliz should release it on a Friday now so more people can play first thing on the weekend.

  8. Hey Kelani, I think the delay is much needed. I am still worried because I still do not think they will have enough time with what they have for the remainder of the year. This delay is a much needed departure but not enough of one. February release with a March opening of the first raid would have likely allowed them enough time. If they release it this year it will be full of nerfs and not exciting to play. I don't think it will be the dumpster fire that is BFA, but I don't think it will be anything special. They are going to ride on the wings of TBC Classic, which won't be nearly as successful as Classic because Nostalgia only takes one so far.

  9. So since the expansion is Delayed can you Kelani help out the Survival community by making a video or something the specs that still need help or love so that includes other specs other than Survival! We need this now more than ever!

  10. On one hand: great, better game

On the other: I already requested vacation time based in the stated release date. Now I have no idea when the game is coming out and a closing window to request time off.

Guess I get to start the weekend after it comes out.

  12. November 23rd release date is my guess. I think anything before that date wouldn't make sense for a delay. That's 4 weeks later than the original launch date. I think 4 weeks they can get the work needed done. Hopefully! This is based solely on the fact that most expansions were released 4 weeks after the pre-patch release, with a couple of outliers @6 and 8 weeks. So a November 23rd would mean 6 weeks after pre-patch.

  13. Using this delay for big changes might cause more problems in terms of bugs and stuff, I'd be happy for them to just make whats there now be as good as it can in it's current state.

  14. Here's what to do about the patch, turn the computer off and disconnect it from all power sources , get off your lazy asses and go do something more constructive and valuable than wasting your pathetic lives behind a monitor…. no trolls.

  15. we all know deep in our hearts that the release will be mediocre anyway same with every expansions. i rather play on the initial release rather then on the delayed one because there will be bugs and the experience will not be great eather way when everyone is trying to connect all at the same time and quest at the same places all the way to lvl 60
