Wow Shadowlands Rogue Outlaw DPS Guide:

Outlaw Rogue Stats: (Haste to 300-400) then prioritise Versatility and Critical Strike.

If you are under 15% haste it could be better to use Vigor instead of Deeper Stratagem.

    quite important to note, that Shiv purges enrage buffs ONLY if you have MIND NUMBING poison (which everyone should have in PVE content anyway), thought it was important to say this, in case there IS a person, who was NOT aware of this fact 🙂

  3. As an outlaw rogue with a few years experience I'd like to throw in a few extra things for those looking to do slightly harder content better. A lot of things may change but one thing that hasn't is that one of outlaw's BIGGEST shines is their amazing control. Even if you particularly might nor be able to do that much damage right now, one thing you CAN contribute is control. Between, gouge, kidney, cheap shot, blind, and kick, it is feasibly possible for you to stop an entire pack's worth of wipe mechanic casts by YOURSELF in certain situations should you show that you have the ability to control them. This might seem hard, but actually through the power of focus targets, it can be easier than you think! And if you're scared about losing your tricks focus macro, I'll come back to that in a sec, you'll still have an equivalent.

    If you set up some macros for those abilities to cast them at a focus target, and use an addon such as quartz to get a castbar for your focus target in your UI, you can ALWAYS keep a CC target in mind for any pull independent of your actual target this is incredibly useful for situations such as collectors and harvesters in necrotic wake when they cast drain fluid, allowing you to ALWAYS know immediately when they cast it and instantly stop it with any of your five buttons regardless of whatever you are targeting at the time. Suddenly, you can cover two mobs worth of stops without ever switching targets. This is also absurdly valuable on bolstering weeks as you can easily catch important interrupts without having to tab target 400 times to find the correct healthbar to attack, or to maintain control in something more hectic such as trying to keep up with a lot of explosives by yourself WHILE catching interrupts. It is also obviously widely applicable to PvP as well.

    As far as your replacement tricks macros, you have two options. The easy way out is the [@party1] macro which always targets the party leader whom ideally you ask to be the tank each time. This got old for me though, and it might get old for you. Secondarily you'll need to set up two macros. One will be a script that rewrites your macro, and one will be your tricks macro that you'll also use to call the script. What the script will do is change your tricks macro's default target to always be whomever your target was at the time of calling the script, essentially acting as a set focus without wasting your useful actual focus! This is one of my favorite tools in my belt, and I'm happy to share it with you guys!

    ============================================================================================================================================================

    #showtooltip
    /use [mod:shift,@mouseover] [mod:shift] [nomod:alt,@Sylvanã] Tricks of the Trade
    /click [mod:alt] MultiBarBottomRightButton6

    (Name the above macro TotT, this is important) and

    /run T = UnitName("target")
    /run if not InCombatLockdown() then EditMacro('TotT', nil, nil, '#showtooltipn/use [mod:shift,@mouseover] [mod:shift] [nomod:alt,@'.. T ..'] Tricks of the Traden/click [mod:alt] MultiBarBottomRightButton6', nil); end;

    If for some reason the use of the shift @mouseover feature interferes with your setup, I provide alternatives without it here:

    #showtooltip
    /use [nomod:alt,@Claymas] Tricks of the Trade
    /click [mod:alt] MultiBarBottomRightButton6

    (Still name the above macro TotT, this is still important) and

    /run T = UnitName("target")
    /run if not InCombatLockdown() then EditMacro('TotT', nil, nil, '#showtooltipn/use [nomod:alt,@'.. T ..'] Tricks of the Traden/click [mod:alt] MultiBarBottomRightButton6', nil); end;

    In this setup you'll have to put the script macro on the bottom right button of your bottom right action bar (Not your main action bar.). If you want to change the button the script macro goes on, use the command /fstack in the chat to figure out what the name of that button is and change your two macros accordingly. Now you have a magical tricks of the trade button that when you hit alt, will update it's focus to be whomever your target is at that moment. Optionally, when you hit shift, it will let you manually tricks at a mouseover or target so that if for some niche reason it was appropriate or necessary you could do so.

  4. Correction to the rotation guys, I've been simulating it a lot and tbh it works out as Better to start in stealth.
    Rotation: Stealth, Tricks, RTB, Ambush, Vanish, Ambush, Adrenaline Rush, between the eyes, blade rush, cov ability, sinister to full, S&D.

    Between the Eyes immediately after your double ambush works better for me but it's really your preference, a lot of rogues go slice and dice first for using phantom fire pot, but it's really what works best for you. Good luck 😀
