  1. There was a WoWhead post that was deleted of datamined broadcast text confirming that the Runecarver is the Primus, I was watching the wowhead stream and it was posted during it but it's not their anymore. Heirmir has a whole moment where she's taken back in his presence again and stuff.

  2. The Primus is, I would guess, a master strategists in warfare, being over Maldraxxus. The model looks like an alien Sun-tzu to me, so maybe that's what they were going for, an ancient zen master of warfare strategy and tactics, not a beefy warrior in his prime (no pun intended). Looks great to me; it's actually the kind of character I imagined he would look like.

  3. I don't like the rune carver/primus lore. It doesn't fit. Think about the time frame. The primus is the sole reason for the lich king armor which involved a period of torment to obtain. So all this happened pre nerzhul. Which puts us waay back in time. But we know draka is aware of the primus and talks like she met him. Draka died during guldans treachery, which I'm a little hazy on this part, is near the time nerzhul shows up. How the hell could the primus be locked in torghast and tortured pre fel horde but still be present for draka, and it sounds like to a lesser extent, and alexandros to meet? Someone answer that for me. Blizz drops the ball again on it's lore. Here a mind screw, what if the leaked model of the jailer really IS the jailer and we're helping him escape? Remember when it came to the runecarver venari says don't trust everything you see in the maw.

  4. There is text on WoWhead that says the The Runecarver is restored to The Primus. So it was confirmed rather than defunct.

Also, they said AU versions of ourselves are like fibers and are souls are the metaphorical rope. I think it was Danuser who said that. We know AU Nerzhul seemed to be aware in WoD that part of him was already in the Shadowlands, he implies it during our SBG fight. Just another thing to consider when talking about his soul fragments.

  5. Reading from ptr datamine it seems that the Runecarver is indeed the Primus:

"Sigil flies out of the player's hands and into the Runecarver.
    Runecarver transforms into the Primus.
    What… is this?
Heirmir reacts to the Primus's return.

Zovaal will go after the Arbiter's sigil in Oribos. She must be defended at all costs.
Zovaal is coming for my sigil. We will make a stand… while I try to find a way out of here.
Forward, Necrolords! Burn these traitors to ash!"

  6. I totally see the Drust vibe going on with the Primus, as well as the leaked Jailer look. Not only that but it looks very reminiscent of the Necromancer model from WC3.

I'm thinking it's possible that all the Eternal Ones were part of a whole, that is The Jailer, and the Jailer is just the husk. Maybe all of them combined is a First One?

  7. I tried to write you a comment with a link to a video from another channel, it did not pass the filter, I hope you will see it somewhere in the channel settings. and look at it – there is a very cool theory.

  8. I think the Primus looks awesome. I'm actually glad they went with a more scholarly wise necromancer look, a true master of death & warfare. Regardless of fingers I think he could only be the primus based on what was hinted prior, unless he was some random they never hinted at before. Also, they do look a lot alike in silhouette…. but something to remember as well, is that the Primus is the very leader of the faction that embraces body modification.

  9. It is confirmed the primes is the runecarver. A quest in the 9.1 PTR said as the sigil of maldraxxus is brought to the runecarver by the player for repair, the runecarver reacts to that and turns into the primus. So this is actually 100% confirmed. The primus is the runecarver.

  10. 4:20 – remember all the while back when we were discussing Saurfang's updated model with the same reasoning? He was definetly not gonna die when they updated his model, right? 2 patches later, we all ding-dinged at the gates of Orgrimmar. I wouldn't say Thrall survives just based on this.

  13. lol this primus model looks definitly different to what it looks like the statue in maldraxxus?!
and does this model tell us, that primus is more of a drust, than maldraxxis/necrolords; or more like a fusion, a drustmancer/lord ?
hmm yes this also definitly throws off the theory of primus being the runecarver xD

  14. So possibly First Ones or Titans came to Shadowlands reconstructed it in their image, selected native race (explains devourers,Drust,…), appointed one of them as Primus and then Jailers history happened. Thrall dying could represent symbolic farewell for Horde as identity in game, thus further disbanding factions and transitioning to cosmic forces as our in game identities.
