I just hit max level in the War Within, World of Warcraft’s newest expansion. Bringing with it a new villain, Xalatath, delves, new zones, dungeons and a whole lot more – the War Within has been an adventure so far. But is it worth playing and is it any good? In this video, Nixxiom dives into the depths of Azeroth to share with you all his impressions of the game so far.

  1. Faerin was not an orphan, she was the only child in Hallowfall due to being a stowaway in the expedition ship. She was escaping from her family who saw her as a disappointment for not being a scholar, according to her, her parents would prefer her to be "locked in a library, drafting documents on economics or something".

  2. Probably a pass on this expansion for me, blizzard just keeps making the world easier so what’s the danger? I don’t want to feel overpowered, I want to overcome challenging content

  3. The story was completely disjointed with the implementation of "local" stories, I followed the MSQ and all of a sudden shit was just happening with giant skips and gaps. Again, you don't reinvent the wheel you refine it…Blizz cannot get out of their own way. The time gating is ridicules again why gate raid finder and the Earthen. I also agree that the EA was a marketing ploy for extra cash grab…I paid it but I have the disposable income to do so.

  4. The problem I have Faerin is that I was led to believe she was this bad ass "Grace Jones" (look it up kids) character with attitude and heat to spare… However far from it, she's this sweet voiced little sunny Mary who just follows Anduin around like a puppy.

  5. 5:59 It's not "popping up across the internet", it's not people who aren't playing the game 🤣Nobody cares about woke DEI injection, or WoW. People move on to better things instead. That's why wow subs are lowest they've ever been, because wow is for weirdos now. When it had 8-12Mil subs it was for everyone.

  6. I havent gotten to the part where we see the girl in Hallowfall yet, but I do want to say that in a game where we have an orc with literal blade for a hand, having a girl missing an arm shouldn't be much of an issue here. It's about time we see more characters suffer true injuries from the ravages of war. It always felt like everyone escaped unscathed in every conflict and that was unrealistic. Of course someone would lose an arm in battle. And I'm glad that from what you said, she isn't some badass that cleaves away swaths of enemies. Sometimes a disability needs to remain a disability and allow them to help out in other ways.

  7. Interesting take… hallowfall looked cool but was by far the worst zone to play through; mostly because of Anduin. Completely worthless character at this point and the "internal strife" plot just feels recycled for the 300th time.

  8. 0:53 Seeing Ion Hazzikostas still has a job at blizzard is unfathomable the guy literally made the the two shittiest expansions in the history of WoW back to back and still has a a fucking job he so bad at game design he has no business being one knowing he is still there reminds me Why I won't even give this expansion a shot. The man is so bad he couldn't get laid in a women's prison with a fistful of pardons.

  9. Experience playing mage is that I can't mass pull because I die. On DK with much worse gear I'm immortal and can stand in everything. Evoker as a 3rd toon is a middle ground. Think most specs come down to "if you have everything up, you're a god" and DK is simply "I always have another god-button"

  10. LMAO I won't EVER pay a monthly rate for a 20 year shitty old game no matter how good the expansion is. Only people stuck in time 20 years ago play WoW in 2024. Bye I play Wukong now with unreal engine 5 graphics and awesome gameplay

  11. I'm sorry, but Faerin is a very poorly written character who is just a marker of political correctness that they wanted to deselect. You think so yourself, it's visible in you and the sudden change in the tone of your voice and the artificiality that is almost striking when you mention her.

  12. It's so nice to see a creator that offers actual valid criticism, while still being able to recognize the positives. There's too many wow content creation based around ragebait so this is such a nice breath of fresh air.

  13. I just got my Paladin to level 80 last Monday. I'm loving War within so far and I think its off to a great start! i really enjoyed the leveling experience and seeing the characters newly fleshed out. Especially in those "Stay a while and listen" dialogues.

  14. Thank you for using your platform to try and shut down the people who are hating on Faerin for being a black disabled woman. I normally avoid zone chats, but I was in the Hallowfall general chat yesterday asking if the cinematic bugged for anyone else. It got into a discussion about Faerin, and some arse called her a "DEI checklist". Honestly, I love that she doesn't le her disability destroy her hope while acknowledging that she makes mistakes, like the one that got her injured. The Arathi are taught to find joy where they can, and she is a shining example of that.

  15. Cool, such a great expansion and great stories. That you've already begun end game content not even a month in (that's why a lot of us quit during legion and never came back to retail). That sounds like another DOA expansion to me. Back to SOD for me and my friends!

  16. The clip you show during the comment "the tanks are pulling half the dungeon" had half the party dead. And that is the standard user experience. This is not remix and players need to stop thinking they are gods. Not all classes can solo multiple mobs at a time.

  17. I tried getting back in to WoW yesterday, but I just wasn't feeling it… It's been over a year since I last played and before that I was on a several year hiatus and I just didn't know what to do. I've basically missed most of the last 4 expansions and the little level up to level 20 for free doesn't really help me to experience what I've missed and why I should care about playing more of the game… I also don't have anyone to play with, which isn't really Blizzard's fault, but it still makes the game a little less enjoyable.

  18. Wow what a shill dismissing the obvious feminist push in the story since shadowlamds you can't dismiss it off hand I thought the story was crap and the lip sincing was comically off in the cinematic and overly cartoony the gameplay was dragonflight basically they butchered tanking and healing it feels pretty bad man when prot pally melts

  19. I like the whole "feeling powerful" part, we saved the world how many times now? We should be a World boss level of power by now surely. Getting killed by a random mob or 3 would feel embarrassing. (Yes I know, plots/balance ect, just saying)

  21. i think it was always like this, where ppl would pull half the dungeon at the start, the only reason why we see that happening now is because blizzard locked both heroic and mythic difficulty under a time gate so regardless of what difficulty you would play before now you are stuck in the only available one. which I think is the real problem, but also think that its nice that more people get to enjoy the "end game"

  22. its actually not who is the lead, its why they are lead and how they are lead. when they are lead because of obvious DEI everyone gets collective diarrhea. it got so bad that actually now if you even saw a real legit female or black lead thats not here because of some woke bullshit you already roll your eyes and think "frick this DEI bs" and just turn it off. i guess this is what naturally happens when you forcefully and unnaturally bombard people with ideas and worldviews they dont truly support but are pushed onto them by fear of being stigmatized as a racists or bigots or misogynists if they openly say they dont like this approach or philosophy of forced and counter productive implementation of diversity and inclusion
