When they took stance dancing from warriors I was happy to see Empowered Seals. Now Blizz took THAT away, sad times.
I've been playing ret for 12 years and right now it's at its worst it's ever been. We have high burst but once that falls off we're useless till it spikes up again. Also, play anything other than Kyrian or Venthyr? You're gonna have a bad time. Plus we dont have "utility" like lust or a brez. So we get denied from mythics unless we have a billion and a half io to make up the difference which…we cant get if we're not invited

No let's bring in some guy who does theory crafting and someone else who only has a years worth of experience talking about the class." This video is garbage and at best an opinion piece. If you wanted REAL player feedback then having the theory crafter but counter balancing it with, like I mentioned, Savix and McConnel so you have some REAL information

@MarcelianOnline Guardian of ancient kings was dope – big dam and stacked up to 20% str. Zealotry was the end talent, it was the first version of Holy Avenger. You did not have to maintain a buff, the only buff you had to maintain was inquisition. Stacking Guardian to 20%, then wings and Zealotry made you really PUMP!

Ret paladin has become so fun and surprisingly strong. Unless Affliction rises in 9.1 im sticking with it. PvP is insane. aoe and single target burst is really strong doesnt feel the same as it did in BC and Wrath but still fun. Final Reckoning is a game changer on demand boom button paired with tempest of the lightbringer legendary brings aoe potential greater than fire mage. Feels nice to be maining my first created character again. I'd have to work on a rotation but I still cant figure out proper usage of execution sentence

I want a version of ret aura that gives you a damage and healing % boost based on missing health %. That would be worth making it an aura that you barely ever get to run
Seal of truth just added to baseline i think would be cool. Imagine say on kyrian Ret, you do open with your 1minute, and then once that is down and you GCD's aren't filled with that you can pop seal of truth, and stack that up and continue on, and then once the minute is back up you transition into that. It ads phases basically to your damage, makes you have to choose, do I want a bit more sustain damage here, do I have time for that? Then again they could put the seals on a timer like Nightfae covenant ability where, once you use one seal the next one pops up, so say Truth, Wisdom, Light, Martyr. So you have sustain damage, mana reneg, healing like judgement of light, and burst damage. Hell make it talent, and drop the POS Justicar's Vengeance. It was shit when they first brought it out and its shit now. If you play with it out side of questing, you are literally hurting your party, because the heals from selfless, and healing hands is just so much better.

original 2004 ret player here. I've been alliance and been horde for most of it.
I think as far as mobility maybe replace justicar's vengeance.
"Holy Power spending reduces cooldown of divine steed?!?!?!" bye bye justicar's? It was badass in early legion where you could 3 pop someone in a stun, but they cut the balls off of it and it's been worthless and unused since.
I think kyrian ret (ex sentence, final reckoning) is the most fun its EVER been. It's not too hard to do well, but if you fuck up your timing its extremely unforgiving.
Having a mini 1 min CD set is fucking amazing, I wish wake of ashes had a 30 second cooldown. if seraphim did too that would be great but a tall order.
If wake of ashes generated 5 holy power again that would really round out our class. FOR Kyrian only though. The execution sentence build is poorly designed to work around venthyr, and anything but kyrian doesn't seem like it would work.
I hope divine toll survives shadowlands.
I tried Venthyr at the beginning of this expansion and it seemed to combine well with mad paragon and ashen allow, and sanctified wrath or crusade. I'd like to see Venthyr lean more towards the crusade build similar to legion. Legion ret was fun as hell, but the venthyr version is clunky as shit. 4 min CD for ret is bad, I'd rather they cut out some of its power in exchange to use it for every wings on 2 min CD.
Why can't holy and prot paladin just have a 4 minute ashen hallow?
This expansion feels great but honestly Legion was just a way better expansion honestly. They actually released content….

I honestly don't understand how you are satisfied with a spec that is always underperforming in pure numbers. I 'm with you for the mobility issues and the' not enough' utility, but we can't always be at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to damage, we really need some help from time to time
31:19 i think this is one of the issues that destroyed the game to begin with. because it started out with classes being played and brought for a reason to every class having the same things and the same tools only looking diffrent and now we've slid into some shitty middleground. i cant remember when they implemented that buff checklist and turned windfury into a haste buff and did the same with many other buffs to have them share the same buff slot on the checklist but it was terrible for the game and no one liked it for very good reason, it was universally disliked.
I just think it's stupid to make the argument that buffs and debuffs that classes uniquely bring should be removed because ret paladins doesnt bring anything, it's just stupid to bring everyone else down to the level of ret instead of bringing ret up to the level of everyone else.
