  1. I think the idea was that instead of having to murder every undead on earth, they could just have a good guy control them to be docile instead. The "greater threat" line is just Terenas being dramatic.

  2. Wow this guy is not vary perceptive in acordance to the lich king 1 the helm is possessed by an evil dude so if no one is wearing the crown it only wants to kill everyone so you want someone to wear it expecially if they are a good guy to keep the undead in northrend. 2 destroying the crown is a bad thing and we see why when( as he said) silvanis breaks it.

  3. Arthas is the classic "tragic hero" from greek literature. He shows virtuous and heroic traits, such as truly doing what he believes is best for all of Lordaeron, but he is held back by his "fatal flaws" which is also a component of classic tragic hero stories. For Arthas its not just that he was a "evil vengeful guy" i think its alot more complex than that. I think moreso his flaws are his childish/headstrong/ideologic nature that leads him to becoming a vengeful person. Hes just an inexperienced boy, and hasn't fully learned the wisdom of his elders like uther and his father, or even the well-learned jaina. He respects them, but the end of the day he's just a stupid spoiled kid that thinks he knows better than anyone else just because he feels alot of convictions and emotions. He hasn't yet learned to regulate his emotions and think logically like his elders, so he becomes completely blinded by his rage to the point where his entire life is consumed with brashly seeking revenge.

I dont think its fair to say arthas was "just a dick" his whole life. He was always cocky and self-assured, but he was still polite and obedient to uther and others, had the rizz to get jaina's interest, loved his horse to death and he was truly a great prince that loved his land and people. Remember his rage and lust for vengeance isn't personal, its not like they stole from him or kidnapped jaina or something like that, no. They invaded lordaeron and killed it's people. Arthas' people. He chased malganis all the way to the ends of the earth, just like he said he would, not for himself but for his people. He did what he truly believed would be most beneficial for his kingdom, regardless of what anyone else said, which is stopping malganis from ever returning, even if it means walking right into a trap. If you ask me, thats stupid, headstrong and naive….. But noble as fuck. His fatal flaws lead to his demise, starting with disobeying uther and ending with him becoming the lich king. Once he was in northrend it was already check mate, ner'zhul has already won.

Maybe im just a fanboy though, idk. But what i do know is playing through arthas story in WoW was the main reason i tried WC3 in the first place. I just thought he was so cool and edgy (i was just a boy myself at the time) and as soon as i found out that the "culling of stratholme" dungeon was based on a WC3 campaign i knew i had to play it.

  4. The real reason there must "always be a lich king" … Its one of Blizzards most profitable, iconic and beloved IPs so they want to have it in their back pocket so they can milk him as much as possible lol

Grubby: "hell yea" rewinds to relive the racism, smiles, laughs and refuses to elaborate

  6. Absolutely not, the expansions are not even made by the same ppl, let alone the same ppl who made Wc3. You can't pick and choose jumping between expansions, although I'd dearly wish to include Legion in my personal "canon take", but I can't. I'm pussyfooting about if I think the original Warcraft story ended at WOTLK, or Cata… MOP is absolutely not a part of it, it drowns in contradictions, bad writing and stupid creative decisions. And because of that, nothing that follows is either. Although as I said, I do find it a pity to have to cut out Legion, which was actually a good expansion all-around.

  7. "Your dead, except he wasn't, but he thought so" this line alone encapsulates Warcraft at this point. The non-specific use of 'he' included. At some point in the games, the characters are gonna start getting chummy "AYYY ARTHAS YA OLD SO AND SO, how's it hangin?"

  8. Old video, but comment anyway, there is no opinion it is a fact that WOW is Cannon. There are elements of wow that are not cannon but wow is without question cannon. Edit, well at least the classic is Cannon, after the WOTLK not so sure.
