Here is a trick I found to maximize our Tyrant’s damage. I am not exactly sure if/when it will be useful, but pretty insane damage! Cant wait to try this on some openers.

  1. Demo opener w/o BL: Hardcast Demonbolt, Grimoire Felguard, Vilefiend, Dreadstalkers, Shadowbolt x4, HoG x2, Tyrant.
All big demons w/ 5 imps Tyrant.

  2. Had a similar idea to you about using the PvP trinket for an HP boost, but unfortunately demons scale with your stamina, not your health. The trinket does not provide any life for your demons, which you can see in the video when your Felguard's life doesn't increase after the pre-pull trinket.

  3. What I do to get a big ass tyrant is, instead of focusing on a plethora of imps, I get my grimoire felguard out there, then felstalkers, then I do one full guldan. Now, if my instant cast demon bolt procs, I’ll use it and guldan again, regardless of the shards used. Then I use tyrant and by the time that is done, felstalkers are about ready to disappear as well as felguard. Thus, we get a free refresh and a lot of hp for tyrant to suck up.

I’ve gotten insane 18k crits from this (in a LFG dungeon only) that is still insane though. That’s like 3 chaos bolts for me if I was destro.

  4. Thx for the video ! With this build , there is something that bothers me , with the talent Demonic calling , when it procs we can cast instantly Call Dreadstalkers but The PVP talent Master soemoner already does that , so I'm feeling like I'm wasting 50% of the talent Demonic calling ; what do you think ?

  5. Guys I have fine tuned this even further. Here is what I have done to optimize the burst. Legendary: Horned Nightmare Conduit: Borne/Tyrant

    5 sec Pre pull timer:
    – Cast Fleshcraft/HP boost trinket (Fleshcraft triggers the GCD so you're free to spam Demonbolt once this starts channeling)
    – Hard cast Demonbolt (manually send pet in just before this finishes casting)
    – Cast Grimoire
    – Cast Vilefiend
    – Cast Dreadstalkers
    – Cast Shadowbolt to 5 shards
    – Cast Hand of Guldan x2 (if you got a Demonic Calling proc, you will have time to cast an extra shadowbolt to get 2 full 3 shard Hand casts)
    – Cast Tyrant
    – Cast Demonic Strength + racials/offensive trinkets
    – Cast Decimation Bolt
    – Cast Hand/Normal rotation

If you get lucky with a horned proc or two, it makes a big difference with the temporary bonus hp. This sequence fits perfectly into the trinket windows. Can't wait to test this in raid! P.S. I got the 220 ilvl HP trinket… 14k bonus HP on use and 73 passive int!

  6. I have a better opener my friend 🙂 you can have 2 sets of imps & all your demons going into Tyrant

    Demonbolt to 5 shards,

    Felguard, (4 shards)
    Vilefiend, (3 shards)
Shadow bolt, Shadow bolt, (5 shards)
    Dreadstalkers, (3 shards)
Shadow bolt, Shadow bolt, (5 shards)
    Hand of Guldan, (2 shards)
    Shadow bolt, (3 shards)
    Hand of Guldan (0 shards)
    Tyrant (5 shards)

  7. If you stack a bunch of health consumables and summon your primary demon out of combat it will retain its stats reflecting when you summoned it. This means you can summon your fat demon. However whenever you change gear it will recalibrate so it only works with pots
