Shadowlands Patch 9.2.5 – Season 4 Soon: As we’re ending the Expansion,
it’s time to take stock of all that happened throughout these past 2 years
and come up with the Worst features, systems, mechanics or Developers’
decisions in Shadowlands which left us confused, frustrated, irritated,
disappointed or simply defeated, with HOPES that they won’t be repeated
in Dragonflight.

  2. I think a cool thing to do for open world would be to introduce a rotating / something you can activate in a zone that causes mobs in an area to drop Profession things, eg Ore, Herbs – only with War Mode on. If another player slays you, they get some of your items *only the profession items*. This would mean that there would be more people playing WM and you’d actually find fights, but you’d be able to get rewards.

  3. The drop rates of trinkets and weapons needs to be seriously looked at. In SoD our rogue killed Sylvanas countless times and only got 1 normal dagger. The haste trinket from her was also very rare. On the Jailer, same story with the 2-handed mace. Killed the Jailer at least 15 times on heroic and haven’t seen a single weapon

  4. Shadowlands was mostly just unplayable to me because of the godawful Covenant system and poorly thought out progression system. If nothing else, I seriously just want to play Dragonflight for the new talent system, which allows you to build your character in a more Lego block manner, even if it is mostly left over pieces from prior borrowed power systems. The Covenant system – everything about it, from the idea phase to the design phase to the implementation was just pure misery, and Shadowlands deserved to die if for no other reason than that there was, in fact, no ripcord.

  5. The reason I really ultimately stopped playing Shadowlands is because my partner got mad at me for spending hours every single week grinding Choregast and farming 10 weekly M+ for my chest just to keep up with the curve, since M+ drop rates were horrifyingly bad and bad item level to boot. That was the final straw that broke the camel's back. I remember bfa being far more tolerable when it came to weekly chores, Shadowlands on release was just way, way too much. I didn't even grind Maw rep, couldn't fathom doing that every week. I remember falling asleep at my desk during Choregast on the last floor multiple times and getting kicked out the day before reset.

  6. Mount collection in SL is a nightmare, some are absurdly hard to get and in the end is just another recolor, ZM crafting system for mounts and pets is just a way blizz found to make you waste your time in game.
