  1. I liked shadowlands alot. Raids, systems, m+, zones… god was pure magic.
the maw was cool because it was a danger zone. the eye thing. like, doing maths to kill adds at the beggining ? just like in classic wow ? i liked alot.
the catalyst was bis too (alt friendly)

I really think that the lawsuit and the pandemic killed this xpac. The lore and korthia was fully sloop and not fully polished (the lore was shit for every major hero).
i really hated the legendary system, anima-grind and torgash because the "not alt-friendly system".
But because of torgash, we have delves the way it is today for example…

And i think blizzard learned alot from that almost death experience.

  3. Shadowlands was so depressing, it made the afterlife WORSE then being alive. Kyrian fate worse then death losing your memories, Maldraxxus eternal combat because rest is for the living, Venthyr be tortured eternally, or Night Fae just be snuffed out cause your anima is needed elsewhere. Show the hero of Azeroth that only misery and suffering awaits them in death so why keep being a hero? As far as head canon goes my characters retired after Shadowlands because might as well enjoy life with eternal suffering awaiting them in afterlife. My rogue used adventuring money to get a house then spends days fishing.

  4. Borrowed power was introduced in Legion with the weapons – before that it didnt really exist (unless you count gear and stats).

23:10 — I once saw a playthrough of the Orc heritage armor where you select a clan for yourself. And at some point of the ceremony, some dozen ghosts spawn – for whatever reason… drawn to the fire or somesuch. But yeah, I havent played Shadowlands… but knowing what I did about it, this struck me as VERY odd XD

  5. Dollar Store Thanos (I mean Zovaal) is probably the worst and worst written villain I have ever seen in any media. He was obviously retconned in out of nowhere, the "we've been planning this since WC3" was a lie they told so they could compete with FFXIV Endwalker (because Yoshida made a statement about how this conclusion was 10 years in the making – except in FFXIV's case it was true). Completely destroyed the Warcraft cosmology, and since then (especially in Dragonflight), they've been walking back bits of SL lore. Danuser was also a TERRIBLE writer, with him gone and Metzen back hopefully the lore can be what it once was.

"We've got Thanos at home!" Thanos at home: Zovaal.

  6. War Within being more ready than Shadowlands, stop the cap lol. WW was the least ready-on-launch expansion in history, despite so much content being cut only weeks before launch.

  7. Completely glazed over the tuning of Sepulcher at the end of the video. An expansion of Blizzard not listening to their players and alienating them, capped off with a raid that was tuned for world first raiders, and by the time that it was tuned for top 1000 guilds the expansion was ending. I recall our mythic raid team going through probably 15+ players on our roster that tier because of how difficult they decided to make that tier. After two tiers of poor player retention, getting hit with roster boss that tier due to poor tuning was really the cherry on top of how bad SL really was.

  8. id actually prefer shadowlands right now over war within or dragonflight. Pvp participation wasnt bad in SL until s4 and there was no solo shuffle which i cant stand. Id prob like that mode if it was a single round not 6.

  9. I don't know, me personally what completely destroyed my love for WoW was Warlords of Draenor. To this day I still refer to it as, "Warlords of Drano," because imho its something you flushed down the toilet like finding a roach in the toilet bowl. I played WoD for about a month before I said, "this expansion stinks. It's literally an in game prison," and haven't subscribed to it since.😖
But to each their own I guess.😕

  10. It's actually kind of insane how whenever I see a video shadowlands was so bad, regardless of the length, I can think of two or three things that that video didn't touch.

Like how all of the features they released came out buggy and broken or they started swapping to automated customer service while firing 80% of the customer service staff forcing players into CS purgatory whenever they had an issue that required more than an automated item restoration

  12. I played Battle for Azeroth every day without a pause and enjoyed every single second of that expansion. Whether it was the Azerite grind or the Azerite armor grind—call it what you will—it didn’t matter to me.

What BFA had was simplicity and a fast-paced flow, whether it came to dungeons, questing, or the story. It still felt like playing old-school World of Warcraft.

What I hated most about Shadowlands was their claim to "return to the roots" because Classic was popular at the time. They tried to slow everything down, and it was the cringiest thing they could have done.

I hated every single second of Shadowlands so much that it broke my addiction to World of Warcraft.

I still play now, but somehow, I can't enjoy it the same way I did before Shadowlands launched.

  13. Man, I had already forgot about a lot of these to a point I burst out laughing every time you mentioned things such as conduit energy, blizzard nowadays would never do that crap, who the hell thought it was a good idea 😂😂😂😂

  14. Clicked thinking it would be about Cataclysm and left almost immediately when i found out it was another bad (but far better) xpac. Delusional take, unless this guy wasnt around back then. This goofball even thinks the player drop off was even remotely comparable to Cats 75% drop, from which the game never recovered.

  15. It was a massive shame because some of the zones were awesome. Bastion and Maldraxxus were awesome, the linear story in the zones were great.

Castle Nathria was also a GREAT raid, and the race to world first for it was awesome too.

    Everything else….. dogshit.
