There was once a time in World of Warcraft’s history where battle pets were not the focus of Blizzard Entertainment. In those days, epic gameplay, raiding and intense PvP were the norm, rather than the collecting of simple mounts and tiny creatures. Although we can’t say for certain when everything started to go wrong, we can at least say with certainty that my predictions for the future of World of Warcraft were correct.
This video, originally released in 2013, came out shortly after the release of Hearthstone, which led to a lot of speculation as to where Blizzard Entertainment was planning on taking the tone of the Warcraft universe. I think that during this time, I was one of those who felt that perhaps the universe was heading into a more laid back tone, which I was not happy with. Perhaps that is what inspired this video.
