  1. 1 hour + for 18 layers? took me 2,5h on my fire mage, though i was extremely unlucky with anima powers, so i became almost oneshot after layer 16 so i had to play it safe and carefully. it's sad that there is no checkpoint system, where i can go offline and continue my run after 1 hour. in the future i gonna do it only in full grps.

  2. the stacking shadow word death power is my fav, and one the mind control rats power works well with. down side is its useless if you get it late in the run, kind of useless on bosses, sucks if youre in a group with someone else trying to snipe kills, and gets really…interesting if you dont kill a mob with sw:d

  3. Warlock at ilvl 205. Pet had 1.4 million health, and I couldn't be interrupted or silenced. Corruption damage and healing was stacked to the point the boss couldn't really move that much. I also had enough healing that very little damage could be done to me or my pet. It worked great. I have done much of Torghast with Demo and Affliction. I am not sure which I like best but beefing up your pet's damage and health can get pretty crazy.

This is fairly obvious but if you get any powers that increase phantasm early on I would take it just to go wild with spending at the vendor.

  4. Aff lock has a lot of very powerful and impactful powers like the combo of the additional darkglares with the increased duration & damage for dark glare and the reduced dark glare cd. You end up able to melt bosses effortlessly, but that combo is the only one I’ve found particularly flashy or interesting.

  5. Enhancement shaman has really great powers. It can make your progress really fast and crazy with the right build. You end up blasting enemies in big groups, lightning flying everywhere, tons of totems, and capacitor totem locking mobs down for a long time, and then the totems all heal me and give me heroism and ascendance. You get so much haste, it becomes a button-mashing slaughter-fest. It's a lot of fun when it comes together

  6. I agree there are some floors that are just LONG AF but I've also noticed another trend as well. Torghast is a snowballing dungeon crawl. You gain momentum as you gain powers. If floor 5 was a clone of floor 1 you'd probably beat it half the time right? Duh, everyone knows this. The trend I notice however is that floors 1-2 are always the uber long floors and floors 4-5 are the short to medium. I've had a layer 8 floor 1 take nearly 30 minutes solo and I was chain pulling not taking breaks. I've also had floor 5 take barely 2 minutes because It was close to just 2 turns and then the exit. Just my experience

  7. On my prot pala I just had all the bosses chain stunned until they died after 20 seconds. 98% haste and 4 hammer charges gave me something like 65k dps single target.
