The Void Won Shadowlands and WE MISSED IT! [World of Warcraft LORE SPECULATION]

Read more about Shadowlands ➜ https://worldofwarcraft.mgn.gg

In Shadowlands we learn about death isn’t really the last destination, but rather a realm of it’s own.
Zovaal the Jailer speaks about death can’t be chained and has sparked a theory within Accolonn, that the Old Gods have ruled over the Shadowlands and we have missed the clues.

  1. I HOPE your theory is true… and if it isn't, then it should be. I'd love to see you as the main writer for the whole Warcraft universe. Because your ideas are so brilliantly deep. But even if that wish of mine doesn't come true… you should have your own universe to shape as you see fit. Like Tolkien or GRRM, only that you'd probably go a damn lot deeper, without actually demystifying all the mysteries which come up in the process. In the form of books or movies/series or games… I'd totally throw all my money at you. And a cup of really good tea. Though I wouldn't throw that actually. So… build the world we all want to see, if Blizzard continues to be unable to do so.

  2. A stupid question is why sargeras and jailer can see sth that none of their kind can ? This is sth that WoW never answered. Chances are sargeras and jailer are sort of different. What if they are not normal titans

  3. Anyone remember Agthia, the Kyrian who supposedly banished an attack on the Shadowlands from the Void with a self sacrifice. It’s in a questline in Bastion. I recently played it and thought it was relevant. Take it how you will.

  4. I feel like this is probably worth bringing up. Any time we have done literally anything within Azeroth, it involves some element of old god fuckery.
    Classic, cthun.
    TBC, not on azeroth.
    Wrath, yogg.
    Cata, deathwing (corrupted by nzoth).
    Mists, Yshaarj's sha's.
    WoD, not on azeroth.
Legion, we meet xalatath, also emerald nightmare (correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe the void has more a hand in the emerald nightmare than the burning legion, wasnt really paying attention to that).
    BFA, Nzoth.
    Shadowlands, not on azeroth
Dragonflight, back to azeroth. Where dem old gods at?!

  5. Void needs to win and will win, existence in warcraft is implied to be cyclical, so void is basicaly entropy that everything in existence will be devoured by so all can rise again anew. YOu have biggest hint of that in game, city called Ouroboros basicaly just wordplay you know.

  6. It's weird when writers conceptualize death as a destination. Death has always been the opposite of Life. It is a state and not a destination. And death is almost always portrayed in a dark and negative way with no reason why.
I could go on and on with these weird concepts that does not feel necessary for World of Warcraft. A game that we play to escape this reality we are living enjoying the simplest of things. Rooting for characters and hating others for obvious reasons. Suddenly conspiracy theory took over this game and no one knows what and why things are happening the way they are. Wtf is SL and why this stretch in the story?!
Games are meant to be fun and enjoyable and WoW has failed to at least keep this simple essence in their story telling no matter how dark it gets.
Who cares about afterlives? Unless we are bringing cool dead characters back .. no one want any of this shit. Hell, they actually killed some major characters and shamed them even more squishing Arthas into an Anima! Who tf writes this shit!?
It is just like Dr. Strange new movie, multiverse shit so convoluted Tenet made more sense that this crap!
    Anyways, keep posting dem content👌

  7. Fun video and theory. Leaves a lot to think about; although, I can't see old gods pulling the strings to facilitate their own deaths just to empower one of their brethren or even form up into some old god amalgamation. It just feels like there is too much contempt and rivalry between them to be cooperating in that manner. Like warlords looking to conquer a land, the old gods might strive towards a common goal but still ultimately are self-serving and prone to betrayal. That said, could it be possible that the unknown threat jailed there could be some creature or conduit that could be the catalyst for the void lords to manifest into our reality? Of course, its been portrayed to us that old gods don't live or die because they are outside the cycle, so that is a hard obstacle to jump with any of this.

Anyways, super fun video and speculation!

  8. Is it possible that the jailer when he was the arbiter faced the void corrected titan that sargaras cleaved in half and that titan "broke" him just as Argus broke the arbiter we came to see?

  9. What if the moment when stepped into the maw and escaped we actually released the old god? So Zovaal used that moment to try to reshape reality and to stop it.
