as somebody who's been playing since Vanilla, i'm happy to see the changes that Blizzard has made to their philosophies, this more open-ended endgame is really the way forward rather than the same ol' same ol' hamster wheel that many of us have been forced to repeat. and i really think that they got the balance perfect this time, there's still a reason to Raid or do M+, but if you dont do either of those, you can still end up pretty close to those that do. in Dragonflight, they let us get about halfway up the ladder casually and the gap still felt a bit too wide, which didnt make us feel like we were in the loop, not the case anymore, as we still have to work for it, but we'll get real close to the peak.
