  1. I'm one of those people who don't play anymore, but still watch to keep up (without having to pay). I can make an informed decision on whether I want to go back or not. But as of late, it's been a solid, "Hell No!". Thanks Flame and Catcelian!

  2. Augmentation evoker was surprising for me. Back around cata launch, when a lot of other MMOs were popping up and trying to compete, like rift, support specs were built in to them. I remember really enjoying playing a support in rift were my damage converted to healing, and was a half dps half healer, or the bard, which was very popular, that did a little dmg and healing while buffing players. That game had a cool thing where you picked 3 specs and mixed them together, but was built with that in mind.
I always felt like wow could make a shift toward adding a support role, but it would need to be a serious option with multiple classes/specs to do it right. I felt like aug fit in a lot better than I expected, but at this point it's been tuned to a point point where it's not great in your average m+ pug, compared to being a solid option in raid, and still hasa niche in high end content, as we saw in the MDI with no healer comps.
I guess my point with this post is that I think aug was a cool experiment that turned out ok, but I'm really curious on where it will go in the future. My guesses are they will add more support roles, or just leave it where it is, tuning around it being an option but still a 1 off that never again feels as powerful as it did when it first came out.
I'd be curious to hear other ppls take, if they think they would like to see more roles designed as support, or keep things where they are, leaving augment how it is or redesigning it to be maybe another healing or dps option or overhauling it in to atank spec.

  3. I'm a big fan of the current gearing system, it gives me so much more to do to increase my characters power outside of raid night. The only change I can think of that I might like I'd some rng protection. Having more powerful rare drops is awesome, unless they're not dropping.

  4. WoW can't get New players. Learning a game is one thing but if someone has never used addons (like a FF14 player), they have more to learn about how to use those and how to set them up and how to tune them for each class /character etc. No one wants to mess with all that. It makes the game work instead of fun. addons ruin games. The game should be designed so they are not needed. like FF14.

  5. I call myself semi-hardcore, as I push 2.5k m+ and try to get as far as possible into mythic raids, but due to my guild lacking 20+ players who will do that I can't really do it that often. Oh and I'm a parsing cunt, that will drop all defensive (as a tank) to get that 1% more dps after finishing progression.
I do achievements, hard modes etc. when I have a down time, but most of the time I'm just slacking, as I do not really have friends who would do that with me.
I do play SoD now, I really like it as it's something else to Retail, a slower pace that I miss a lot of times.

  7. I haven't played wow since shadowlands were released. Couldn't even finish leveling in shadowlands when it came out, but seeing your videos and other wow videos making me want to hop back to wow. I started playing DF and leveling and doing the main story campaign, but due to irl, i stopped. I may come back to it.

  8. I have been playing since wotlk. I still love the game but I believe they are giving retail wow to little attention as upptates for new content is super dragged out. Season 4 could been released over a month ago. I got 8 charcaters I play all of them being over 2.7k in m+ so gotten bored waiting for next season as I only play m+.

  9. I like how FFXIV online does it they have like 6 game modes. Something for everyone WoW IMO needs this too. You can never make %100 of the people happy. I came back to WoW after 1+ break all because of your videos so thank you.

  10. I actually thought about something the other day… and its that i love WoW, but the reason i dont play much anymore is because the people i grew up playing with are no longer playing due to life…. im 27 and sometimes i log on all excited to run a dungeon or try a new class, but after about an hour or so I remember that its quiet on the other side of the headphones. I miss that one holy priest that would be next to me every dungeon… growing up isnt a bad thing, but growing apart is where it really hurts the most. I miss my friends but life happens. One day i hope to run into that holy priest again so they can rez me when i act a fool 😢

  11. I tried Plunderstorm. I truly did. It was just typical pvp with flashy things. I hated it. But I'm glad there was some who had a good time with it.
I look forward to buying those items on the trading post. 😮

  12. Played since beta (defected from EverQuest after trying the beta) and I’m a retail guy. Most of my time is spent in M+ (guild is casual so gearing is easier running +20s than raiding) and collecting cosmetics.

Haven’t been into pvp in years but Plunderstorm was a blast and the cosmetics were awesome.

Not big into classic but MoP remix looks fun since the collectibles will carry over to retail.

  14. Great video, as always.

You mentioned it has to be more than that.

But why? Why does it have to be more than that? You're talking about essentially raid logging, while adding in your daily or weekly "chores".

WoW is not what it used to be. We all know that. The game has grown, the player base has changed, and a lot of players don't want to go backwards.

Who cares if people log in, do the content they want and then log out? What if that's "fun" for them? While I agree with some of the information you provided, this is a point I don't. If you have played since launch, you've done all those things. You've walked around exploring before we knew anything about that game, the world was vast and imagination ran rampant, items were cool, bosses were cool, etc. But it's been 20 years. It is very doubtful we're going to see new mechanics that haven't been done before. Or new systems that haven't been explored before. There lacks innovation.

WoW could take so many different ideas from popular games like FFXIV, Lost Ark, Wayfinders, Tera, Tarisland, etc. and truly create something new. But so far, they don't. Possibly too risky.

The point is, people that want to play, will always play. There will always be super fan boys and those that get their portals, do their weekly keys, do their raids, and then just log out. But that's fun to them. For example, I push keys on every role, every season. I reach around 3k or equivalent with every role and I raid heroic/mythic. I have also recently leveled quickly through SoD and cleared ST. After those things, I feel that I can coast and enjoy the game. That's how I find fun. Especially with my core groups / static group members. I have time commitments outside of this game, due to my children/family and career. My preferred playstyle is not exploring, or the care bear like systems that just gate progression and gear, it's not spending hours on end leveling or grinding rep, none of that.

I've been there and done that and that's not the aspect of the game that I find appealing or fun, anymore. I know better than that. I know that we deserve more than just that as a paying customer. We did not know better in 2004 and the early expansions. We were not informed. Everything was fresh and crazy. But today, we do know more. We know basically everything about the game.

As always, thank you for the content.

  15. I took a break of WoW to wait for S4. What really killed me in the end was the toxicity in M+ to grind for the vault. I play in the 2500-2800 range so, I would say, average(?). The fact that I had to go into M+ every week to maybe get my item just took a lot of fun for me… I only raid HC cause my guild cant get enough ppl for Mythic and there is nothing in it for us so a lot of ppl took a break too…

  17. I have always loved this game. Over the years Ive grown to dislike the gatekeeper mentality and the fact the game is unplayable without weak auras and addons. SoD was refreshing but the parse culture and min maxxing runined it for me. I am a casual, I play a few hours a week for fun, if Im not or dont feel welcome to the community is there really even a point to play?
