It’s sad but true we all grew up. I don’t think the games changed much but there’s more micro transactions and we have more of a life now nobody wants to spend $90 US on something you don’t even own in the real world.

This so true there may be a lot of people playing wow even still now it’s different. People aren’t the same and don’t treat each other the same as back then. More of an application to a job to raid and have fun. There is still echos of it if you find some ogs

TurtleWoW has more players than Era, and it doesnt have layers.. it also has gilneas , hyjal, dungeons, raids.. all free to play. They created Classic+ for FREE

Its not game’s fault but the people. WoW adapted very well to modern average player and is doing great. We all „nostalgia players” have these feels only for some time and then we leave since classic is boring after you clear raids.
Times has changed and people are overstimulated, we rush every game we touch and there reality hits „oh Ive got nothing to play, oh modern games doesnt feel the same as old ones, oh retail sucks, classic was better”
Each wow has its pros and cons. Classic is fun for short time, retail is almost like solo game, doesn’t really feel like mmorpg but its fun and gives you huge dopamine hits.
We old players miss those classic interactions with people but modern players „dont have time for that” just like new generation is rushing through their life

Ashes of Creation is bringing back the days of old. @xaryu been watching you since I before I can even recall. You got me into mage in WoW. Do yourself a favor and try out Ashes when it comes out. WoW will always have a special place in our hearts but it's over, too much has changed and it's okay to change. It gives way to a world of new experiences and points to the direction of new fun to be had, maybe some new friends along the way.
