  1. Everyone please share your opinions below! This is in NO way a doom video or anything of the sort. I love SOD, and will continue enjoying it till the last day. I just thought about this and wanted to try and start a discussion and see how everyone feels about season WoW in general. Thank you all for watching and for supporting me. Love you all <3

  3. For me vanilla will always be peak WoW, meaning Classic Era is my current favourite. SoD was good, but the raiding was a step towards retail style raiding, which I like less than actual classic raids. The With Within (retail) was fund of a while, but you end up logging in to do a daily checklist of chores, and that's just not fun.

Vanilla was always about the expansive world and the journey, not being the best or pushing super hard. It's a key reason why it has stood the test of time while more modern iterations of WoW will be forgotten in a few years.

  4. Completely 100% agree. SoD more than ANYTHING needed to be a permanent, slow-burn server to push people to take their time and actually explore the world and hang out and relax, it fit the theme perfectly, but no, within a week all info was out there for everyone to instantly absorb and instantly go get every rune and instantly be at max level doing nothing but raiding the latest raid-ified old dungeon over and over. Utterly destroyed the concept of the server that was SO appealing to me and thousands of others who DON'T want 'rush to endgame care about nothing but the latest raid tier buy powerleveling buy gold etc etc etc" garbage that has ruined most other versions of the game.

  5. I got a6 month suspension on main account. Fake accusations. I pay month to month now on2nd account and about to quit all together after the20th anniversary event. Nice playing withyou all for 15 years. I left with honor. They can keep their accusations to the unemployment line. My wallet is louder than my words.

  6. i want classic+ to just add more stuff to level 60 content and rebalance the specs so that some are more viable like in SoD
no new expacs, no increased level cap, little powercreep as possible.
just incremental content drops, more mechanically challenging encounters etc

  7. Classic is the same as retail, blizzard just gets you to resub a lot more for classic to get through the same content as retail. Its a pure nostalgia thing for classic, its stupid easy and takes forever to get to the part of wow i enjoy. Endless power creep is a thing but i havent heard anyone come up with a good solution

  8. 100% agree allthough the anti vanilla crowd wont like it.

There is a reason why people come back to 5 year old maxxed out broken Era servers over everything else after a certain time. And its not just seasonal, we allready saw that effect slightly towards the end of TBC, strongly towards the end of Wotlk and even stronger now with SoD.

you hit the spot with your reference of how expansions and seasons tend to be more and more endgame focused while vanilla allways had that open world sandbox componend to it where you can have tons to do beside raidlogging.

  9. Think most quit because of nothing new being added for a VERY long time. They even took raids from SoM. So again, its not really new, and the SoM raid mechanics did not work for SoM, and they are very annoying. The investment here should have been on a scale of 8/10 from the start, but all they did was 1/10 at most, not even that at times.

Every version of WoW dies when they dont put anything new in. The only difference is the mental cases running the original game over and over for years, something has to be wrong with you when you can do Nax 50 + times and still find it fun.

  10. I was gonna say that its worth noting, you're comparing a whole cluster of era realms with a single SOD realm, but then i double checked the numbers, and the sod realms are literally each bigger than the entire era cluster.

The irony is also that, in addition to the zones being less populated, you're ALSO going to run into layers on the SOD realms, which you won't run into on the Era realms, so those 48 people in wetlands? They'll all be sharing the same zone and running into each other. Meanwhile in sod, even if there were 48 people in the zone, they'd be split between what, at least 4 layers? So you'd have 12 people per layer, so it ends up feeling even more dead than it actually is.

Part of the other problem is also leveling is so quick in SOD, so people spend less time per character in these zones, and that means there's less opportunity for people to run into each other.

  11. If only there was an mmo that really fit the name MMORPG with pretty much only positive changes overall so that it didn't feel like being stuck in the past was only choice for decent mmo. Sadly everything has changed in the world in the decades the genre has existed.
