  1. The voice actors did such a terrific job in this cinematic, they conveyed the pain so beautifully. The rawness in Tyrande's Darnassian, the Winter Queen who felt abandoned and Elune who realized her mistake.

  2. When Tyrande shouted "Ash'al theradas!", my god, it gave me chills and almost moved me to tears. there's so much raw pain in that, the VA did EXCELLENT on that. i keep going back to it, it's so powerful, you can feel all of the pain in it, the sorrow, the grief

I can't find a direct translation of what it means, but it seems to be a Darnassian warcry. In Thalassian, "ashal" means "justice" to give at least /some/ understanding of the cry. It's just so powerful.

  3. I went through severe trauma recovery while this game was being released. The vengeance or renewal line hit me so hard, I had to make that choice. I couldn't heal while I was obsessed with making my abusers pay for what they did to no avail.

  5. For anyone not paying close attention: Tyrande could have her vengeance, but it would also mean forever dooming her people.
Given the chance for renewal, their souls can be saved. In other words, revenge is only a temporary solution to a permanent problem.
Elune saw the bigger picture and sent their souls to the glade. Thus, sustaining it for longer against the corruption. A favor to her sister.

  6. Winter Q: Yo, we have a drought going, sis. Can ya pick up the phone and help the fam out for once?
Elune: I got you fam. I'll send some night elf souls to ya via UPS by letting some emo chick burn down the tree
Winter Q: UPS said the package got lost
    Elu: oh shit, my bad
    Night elves: WTF!?

  7. This was the dumbest shit ever. Shouldn't Elune have maybe idk, double checked with what was going on in Shadowlands that caused the lack of anima before letting everyone at Teldrassil get massacred? The hell is going on with this dumb assed writing.

  8. Seeing Tyrande becoming Elune’s avatar for a short time, it gave me goosebumps.

The best story line in all Shadowlands making Night Elves a true superior race for the Warcraft universe.

  9. What exactly is the Winter Queen goddess of? outside of death. Because she kind of have a dominion over night (or do her subjects call themselves night faeries for funsies?), she seems to be a deitie of nature, it's very similare to her sister Elune. kind of redundant.

  10. Hold up, weren't night elfs descendants of trolls a looong time ago? I can imagine their God's looking like trolls and when they reveal themselves to the elves, the elves wouldn't want to do anything with their God's anymore lol.

  11. I shed some tears at the pain in Tyrande's cries, the Winter Queen's accusations, and the grief in Elune's voice as the realization of what happened to all the souls of the kaldorei hit. This level of emotion in the game hasn't touched me so deeply since the cutscenes in Wrath of the Lich King. Bravo to these folks.
