I can't stand that change. Was turned off from PVP, back when they added "horde vs horde" Arena etc. Not even sure why, but I just want to keep the sides of war intact.
That being said: It is the logical next step in dumbing down the game even more towards "speed instance simulator". Not happy about it, but it seems to work for the masses.
Wow perfect timing kek I was just talking to my friend a couple days ago about getting back into the game but we have different opinions on which faction to be and this just solved that dilemma
This will make it much easier to play with my brother who doesn't like to gear up his alliance alt (same goes for me and my horde alt)

I’m betting they change the guild single faction thing before to long… it’s the only thing holding this back from it’s true potential
Not sure if it is a good change for me personally. Since the beggining of Shadowlands, almost all the toxic M+ pugging competitive players have move to the horde (that does not mean there are not good people in the horde, or that there are no toxic people in the alliance still, so do not fret about it, please) and most of my pug runs in the aliance have been a pleasure, people helping, chilling, a few times talking over half an hour about whatever before even go into the dungeon, only a couple leavers in more than 150 runs (I usually run 15-20 range), very little harrasment, insults or anything of that kind, more jokes in 6 months than in all Legion, BfA and 9.0 put together… I fear my period of peace within the WoW community will come to an end. We will see how it ends though, I might be wrong, and the players returning be so happy with this change that they are less toxic. Away from the personal, I think it will be specially positive for alliance raiding guilds, so lets hope for the best.

Honestly they should just be done with the entire faction barriers. I hope they are done with the whole « yeah bad guy takes lead of horde/alliance and make a whole war that is going to end in the factions uniting against the ruler cause warcrimes »
Can see entirely new meta comps coming out of this: NE rogues with Orc locks/mages and human Hpals/priests.
