  1. The same thing that’s gone wrong for multiple expansions. The game caters to 2000+ CR players only and the mode is heavily inaccessible due to long queues and gatekeeping. “Fixing” MMR is not going to get people to start playing/trying out PvP. There is no reason to play and nothing to earn if you’re not already a consistent top player.

It’s too much to ask for people to:

    Level up

    Gear up twice

Keep up with sparks/vault/cap weekly for months

Get meta build from third party website

    Install tons of addons/WA

Learn all classes abilities/how to play

Watch 30+ min class PvP guides for hours

Sit in queue for 30+ minutes or sit in LFG for hours where 90% of groups require 2k XP or people just leave after 2 losses

Even if you do play, deal with boosters/sellers and glad player alts at lower ratings

Even if you hit 1800 (which is grueling if you are new despite how people on here tell you it’s “easy”, it’s still like too 15-20%) there is then nothing to get unless you’re like a top 1-3% player in a community that’s been playing for 10-20 years, good luck!

Why would “PvP players” who aren’t already invested in WoW ever deal with that when they can go play literally any other game and just click queue, get a match within 2 minutes with no “chores” upkeep, play and progress a battle pass or whatever win or lose?

  2. Dragonflight removed pvp item level in war mode. This means I need two sets of gear and pvp gear is worse than easily acquired pve gear. But the video doesn’t mention world pvp at all.

  3. Venruki sent me. Great video. Very much on point. (I've quit wow ages ago over these exact issues, but keep coming back to wow content on youtube every now and then hoping that they'll fix them.)

  4. Lately I play alot SS , because I wanted to train a little before S4 … and oh boi its a mess. The amount of CC makes this game unplayable. Period. After 1800 rating I dont even que anymore cos its game of who can out CC other team. Roots, slows , stuns, fears , cyclones etc etd. are tossed randomly, because they lower the DPS of the other team.
Diminish should be increased to like 2 min , maybe then people would start using CC WHEN ITS ACTUALY NEEDED.

  5. I think the biggest issue for a lot of new players is that PvP just feels like

"Oh.. I got stunned over and over and now I'm dead."
    or
"Oh.. I have to get max conquest gear but can't win rated anything so getting that is the worst experience."

  6. Think there are a few thinks to do.
First add 2v2 solo shuffle only dps. 3 rounds and maybe add some kind of healing.
To help newcomers and people with learning alt. Skirmish should be remove and replaced with use of bots, maybe on 4-5 ratng lvl. Then people can improve without playing against other players.
The burst damage are insane and I do think the game generel have some issues here. But quite sure the first to will help 😊

  7. I watched it from Venruki but I came here to comment & support the topic!

The problem is for me atleast! That WoW pvp has come to stage of "Who am I?"

WoW pvp was great and still is but all the requirements to play meaning "addons" it simply ruins the fun. But the major problem is the fact that WoW doesnt know if to go console or not. That is why I think they should make a new game! a new MMO or RPG; action combat 3rd person. Where it would be easy to input a new audiance by making it for PC & Console from the start and have the mindset about the game to be a comptetive game; 1-8 buttons & x4 light attacks on left click & 4 heavy attacks on right click. Super easy to build in "abilities / effects on hit" in ur mouse attacks. and the 1-8 buttons can be utility or a few abilities; but also make the game a bit open world and set it in a well known blizzard IP ( I always suggest Diablo, as I think wow has & should be its own!)

  8. Great video, all points are being covered except 1 : too much immunity and stuff usable while in stun, it's one of the major thing why setup comp are trash (and also healer trinket cd down to 1m30).

Tbh even if blizzard see your video they won't do anything as like venruki said in shadow lands blizzard don't want classes and spec be/played differently from pve to pvp and as m+ is THE priority we have to deal with it.

  9. 1 the return of pvp tiers 2 create a talent tree for pvp in a separate tab from pve. completely separating pve from pvp. 3 in pvp, healers will no longer have a great capacity to deal damage. 4 in soloshuffle healers will always receive points when they draw in a match. 5 From now on, all arenas will be flat and the same size like the nagrand arena. No longer favoring classes or comps. the current arenas would be redesigned.

  10. I've played wow since the beginning and quit retail because it's way too convoluted. If I'm having a hard time I can't imagine why a new player would even bother. And on top of that issue, the in-game information is terrible. I came back during Shadowlands I think, and I had tooltips that literally didn't give me ANY numerical details. I had abilities that I had to wiki or watch videos on to learn how they worked. bro…..

  11. I think it’s unfair to say based on player base is where Blizz is going to focus on. It’s due to the neglect in PVP for years that has the difference so lopsided. If Blizz cared more about PVP a lot of players would do it more often.

  12. As usual, you fail to look at the lower end of PVP. If you can't sort out the low end (noobs PVP) then you will also never attract new players to the game. There are loads of issues not just at the top end. We all started somewhere, right? Streamers etc forget where they came from.

  13. Hopefully Blizzard notices this. As a DK main, part of the reason why I don't like the On a Pale Horse talent in the Rider Hero tree is because of how this and the mobility creep of melee in general is going to affect PvP balance going forward. I'd classes have less micro CC if it meant getting rid of precog.

  14. Ill tell you the main issue about wow pvp and its not the difficulty of using addons and shit, every game has a huge skill cap thats why there are ranking systems. The issue with wow arena is that its simply not fun, nor does it look fun which is the most important aspect. It looks absolutely atrocious and the addons draw focus from the looks. The whole point of an rpg game is rp, if theres no aspect of that at all in arena other than sweatyness and bad graphics then why would anyone even wanna take the time to learn it???

  15. One of the biggest hurdles the arena scene has faced is just how damn hard healing 3v3 arenas are. I've played WoW since 2004 and played tons of arena and even I was super intimidated by healing for the first time. That was with me (in theory 😅) knowing the basic premises and win conditions. I can't imagine being a new WoW player jumping into healing 3v3. 💀
