  1. No prob here. Off for 2 months, nothing to do. Same every expansion after 2-3 months.
People play this game alone, that's why they are "addicted". Try actually playing with others/hanging out on discord or just chatting in-game. You'll find other stuff to do together and have fun. Achieving shit in games gives you a moment but you end up empty later on. Achieving shit with others to talk about later in life is a whole new level of game appreciation. Ignore personal gains, pass loot, get interested in others not just yourself and you'll find your happy place in games since you know, WoW is just one game, there are at least million more you've missed because you play them alone 🙂

  2. I am quite fed up with WoW (both retail and classic) , I have stayed for over a year and I am not planning on going back any time soon. I dont miss it at all, thank God for the next-gen console games, especially the single player ones. I got really sick with the toxic wow community. BB wow, I am not gonna miss you! (you cant have my gold, I already distributed it!).

  3. I've taken multiple online breaks, I've played SWTOR, FF14, a litany of free to play MMO's, and every time, I just seem to go back to WoW. I did quit retail when Classic TBC came along, cause I wanted to go through it again as a competent player, instead of the spell clicking, keyboard turner I was when it was new. I look at WoW like that ex that you just can't seem to get over no matter how hard you try, you go back and try to make it work, and it does for a bit, but in the end you leave cause the idea of it, is better than the experience of it. Surely I can't be the only one that feels this way.

  4. Today when I post this comment, I have been so addicted to WoW, and worked so hard to level up my current favourite char on my account that I have been burned out. It’s not easy for me either, to resist my addiction to WoW, but I have come up with a new policy.

I currently have two characters on my account, and I only play WoW two days a week. The first day, I play as my first character. And the second day, I play as my second character.

When I don’t play WoW so often anymore, I don’t get burned out by WoW, plus that the times when I play WoW, will be more valuable, plus that I can enjoy it when my characters are very rested, when they have rested on inn the five days a week when I now forbid myself to play WoW.

  5. I played it some times on/off since classic but strangely i never had problems to quit. I just eventually got bored in the endgame and stopped. Always start new character > max > bit of endgame/grinding > stop > repeat. But during leveling there were some times of addiction
