It’s not our usual overview of this week’s highlights, Plunderstorm and the 11.1 PTR are setting the tone of WoW’s new direction in trying to make strong standalone features that don’t try as hard to get players to participate in everything – even if many of us will anyway!

  1. my only issue with the Gilded Crest limit from Delves is there is no catchup for those characters late in the season, i would love for it to start at 18 Gilded from Delves and stack another 18 each weekly reset, meaning those late to the party can still farm their Mythic Crafts without resorting to camp in Dornagal as they wait to get in a group. which i'll add will be significantly more tedious as the weeks go by. if not then Alts are gonna be left with Runed Crafts at best.

  2. They paid all content creators to try to get people back for 11.1. It’s going to be boring and no one will be playing it 4 weeks after launch. Can we cancel the trilogy and get wow 2?

  3. I hate pvp. I hated Plunderstorm the first time out. But this version is actually fun to play evasions and it’s rewarding. I got the mounts, pets, and transmog sets.

  4. I do very little raids, dungeons or delves. I do make a point to run them all at least once. I don’t want the catch the fever or the endless gear grind. I love that he game affords entertainment for such a wide variety of tastes.

  5. Soul, gotta hard disagree with your thought about exclusive model pvp rewards (they get capes, tabards and mounts already anyway).
There was one season, as far as I'm aware, Draenor season 1, where unique appearances were given to elite 3v3 arena players. Almost NO players actually earned them, let alone on more than one class.
To this day i have only ever seen one player using one of them- the warrior helm.
It was a total waste of artist's work, making these awesome assets time-limited, difficult to access and rare. Those few who earned them don't gain anything by preventing others from getting cool stuff today (or even recolors that use those cool models), the idea of it being "exclusive" is a lie used to drive subscriptions during content droughts and is anti-fun design.
just let people keep earning cool cosmetic things in the game they monthly subscribe for.

  6. Nope,still not going back.
Get rid of the wokeness virus and let me create a MALE character,i refuse to play a game that labels me as a type.
    Don't force Dragonriding,i hate it.

But yeah better yet don't bother, won't be coming back.

  7. If Blizz is going to give out nearly the best items in the game from easy single player content, they’re going to need to find some other types of rewards to get people to continue playing their multiplayer game.

  8. One thing I think they should add for delves season 2 (too late to add it for zekvir) is some nice mount reward for beating the new boss fight on ?? on all classes (before season 3). A la mage tower, a real challenge you can work towards

  9. I got all the rewards that I really cared about after playing like three or four matches. In a way though kind of sucks because I really wanted those rewards before during the first round so I was determined to grind out the renown. By the end of it, I actually was enjoying myself quite a bit. I was sad to see plunder leave.

I am not a huge PVP person by nature, however because there was a juicy carrot for me to chase, and the path seemed doable. I was able to force myself to play through the matches, which is what helped me get into them in the first place. Now because the rewards Are easier to pick up I’m not really motivated to do the event because there’s nothing for me to chase.

Bottom line is even if I don’t like doing something I can be coerced into doing it if there is something in it for me. You doing so find actual enjoyment this time the carrot was quite smaller and right in front of my face ready for the taking.

  10. They need a system. I guess war band would be it but make it so you don’t have to have a main character because I don’t play that way. I play a little bit on different characters every day if I was forced to just play one character I would be bored. I guess I got two used to playing Final Fantasy six when I was a teenager in the early 90s. I like having a big team of diverse characters that I can cycle through and trade my gear amongst them to make a party of four and then swap it out when I get bored.

  11. They should just remove the 4 Renown levels that give nothing but raid throughput increases and move those to every 3 levels as secondary bonuses, or give a passive 1% every week for the full 16 weeks. While a throughput buff is nice, it's the least interesting reward by far and feels like we're missing out on getting something fun instead of getting a nice perk.

  12. 11.1 isn't catering to everyone, its only catering to people who like the weird subculture exclusive to goblins. If you don't like the low-tech-steampunkish-grungy-profit-over-all vibe of goblins, this patch has literally nothing for you. Zero. Start to finish. There isn't even any sidestories for anyone else. Its just that one thing. Even the modifications to the older delves are just 'can we shove goblins in there?'

  13. Let's hope these "reward tracks" don't become paid battle passes. I also think that exclusivity for different content should exist, and this is as someone who is mostly interested in just solo this time.

I think having something unique to show you achieved something in your preferred content makes it feel more valuable. I don't mind missing out on things I didn't work for. I don't feel entitled to anything and I don't understand why people do.

  14. My opinion is that delves should give better rewards if running them solo. Because running them in parties make them far easier, and the whole pitch they had for delves was as solo content. So running them solo means they are more challenging and better rewards would make sense. It doesn’t even need to be better ilvl rewards. It could just be more crests. Like, a delve could drop an established amount and if it’s run in a group that amount is split between them, whereas running it solo the player gets them all himself, for example. So if it’s 10 and it’s run in a group of 5, each one gets just 2. But if it’s done solo, that player gets them all himself and can run less delves if that’s all he’s farming.
