Biggest problem with pvp gearing is simply the upgrading system and the scaling along with it, take away upgrading and have everyone at the same ilvl and carrying/ boosting will be less of an issue, plus people will be now hard stuck due to skill level instead of gearing level.
Im not subscribed cuz of gearing,everybody is unsubing cuz of instadeaths happen in arena randomly. eaven in 2800rating fullgear… :/
Catch-up mechanic for conquest would be great sometime mid season. Maybe even obtained outside of rated pvp (since honor becomes obsolete as a currency and gear obtained)
the biggest problem with pvp gear its rating required for upgrade, surely gladiators like to be overpowered but most of the players have less than 2.4 and filing uncompetitive because ilvl. At this point i fill like the game made for few % of the players with more than 2.4

Gladiators at 1600 rating selling boosts is the biggest problem
I just hope this devalues boosting. I started doing more pvp than pve rather late in the expansion so far so most people are already quite geared, people claiming "get good scrub 1600 is easy!" Well when at LEAST half of the arena matches I get into is some 45k Conqueror boosting someone while I'm sitting there at 200 ilvl feels really bad. And without dedicated Arena partners or RL friends to arena with most pugs fall apart after 1 loss which is infuriating. Having to look for new people between each loss due to a booster means I'm lucky if I gain 10-20 rating a day after hours of LFG and losses. I'd just really like to find a team that's willing to play consistently and learn together and be placed against people of relative ilvl so I can actually learn rather than just get 2 shot by a 226 Ret doing a 20k Templars verdict in a freaking 1200s match…
Bring back the WoD-Gearing System including the 2-Ilvl-Gear.
Bring shorter Seasons, so a Meta cannot really establish.
Bring only 2 PvP Sets (blue, Epic; Honor, Conquest). No Ratings require, just play PvP and get your Gear over Time.
If a Season ends and a new Season starts, just upgrade PvP Gear, no new Set needed. If new Raid-Tier starts, bring a new PvP set. PvP and PvE Seasons arent tied anymore.
Gap between Blue and Epic PvP Sets are shot (5-10 ilvl).
Bring Catch-up-mechanic like in WoD.
i havent played for a month because my main is ilvl plateaued @~220, and my alt feels like its not worth playing because pvp gearing is SO MUCH WORK for alts, and the low cr games are filled with people with crazy gear making it super hard to get base ilvl conquest gear even at low cr, and the honor grind required to get honor gear to 197 right now is INSANE.
I think the issues with PvP gearing are:
1) when you try to gear an alt, it takes ages to cap your conquest, I think they should increase the conquest gained every week by like 20% to some sort of cap where 1 win would grant you 10% of a mainset piece as the cap increases each week.
2) Also something that could be related to PvP, yeah everyone likes fast-paced games or whatever, but right now many specs just one shot people, rng or not, and I don't think that's enjoyable. The PvP item's ilvl increasing in PvP combat is cool, but I think resilience as a stat would've also been great, could've replaced versatility on PvP gear. Versatility is *not* resilience, as Vers increases your dmg done by the amount of vers% you have , and grants only half the amount of damage reduction.
Resilience only reduced your dmg taken against enemy players, and it was around 40-45% when you were fully geared.
Here's an example of how hard-hitting SL is: SL: 40-42K hp, can get hit for 10-20K's easily. Cataclysm: 140-155K HP, and if you were fully PvP geared with resilience, you took about the same, 10-35K max(by a ret, biggest burst), which makes a huge difference. And Cata was a very good expansion to PvP in, if you ignore the Legendary Daggers/Staff and a couple DS items, it was almost perfect.
Now this ilvl increase could but I dont think it will fix the 1shot issue, as you get more health pool and vers%, you also get a ton of mainstat and more vers dmg% than dr%.
WoW is facing a really hard time. The streamers i've watched are going to other MMO's. I think that Skill Capped will do the same if things get worse.
First off, he will undelete his character whenever. So deleting his toon is irrelevant.
Second off, any non-fdk team gamer rejoiced to the removal of heartstop aura. Heartstop aura is one the most toxic passives for the game up there with 8.3 corruption.
biggest problem woth pvp gearing ? it's bis in pve
Maybe if blizz made a teir system for what rated matches you get based on your ilvl. If you’re ilvl on your alt is low, you won’t get que’d with a glad who’s boosting and get destroyed
The thing is too much of a grind to get one gear, now we are forced to do way more effort to get well geared if you enjoy doing both PvE and PvP, it was good being able to do PvP with PvE gear and viceversa, that meant you just needed to get one gear for both stuff if you are one spec focused. The problem was the catching up with high geared players, in PvP the rating system is the root of the problems, they have to solve that first and in PvE if you're not a specific class/spec is pretty hard to get a good group to do Hraid or high keys. Instead of attacking the root of the problems, Acti-Blizz prefers to make us grind way more keeping the problems in place e.e
After this new patch (if it launches like this) I won't be surprised by the drop in PvP participation specially.
I like the current system and add transferring honor to alts
The biggest problem with pvp gear is the game is not worth the effort that it will take to achieve the rating for the best gear. I love pvp but the elitist rating crowd is garbage and makes playing pvp a shit experience
the paid carries fuck good teams , a 20k whaver class and a 42k fully minmaxed carry in every rating range, that seems to appear as youre working to as youre just about to pass a milestone,
what "save pvp gearing" this does nothing bìesides nerfing pvp gear in world pvp…
the world pvp quest could also give some more honor and a littlebit of conquest points imo
Too much difference between the brakets. If you count only 1 upgrade with the versatility it can be about 8percent difference in damage which is really a lot.
It should be like in Lich King where you could buy(upgrade) only 2 items if you raise the rating to the proper level. And the levels shouldnt be 200 difference. 100 or maybe 50 than you can climb
up slowly but sure. It wouldnt save the grind but would be more balanced just like in Wotlk.

I think this is a very good change. I'm still very frustrated about having to farm maw every day for sockets and conduits though. I've been honor-capped since week 3, I have a lot of spare conquest and I've played a few thousand arena games. None of that does anything for my char though. The only way to progress, is by doing the daily chores in maw. Feelsbadman. Atm i cba and I've just stopped playing.
The biggest problem i see is that i could not get my rating on 2v2 or even 3v3 above 1400 to upgrade my ilvl200 gear. I didn't struggle last expansion…
