Might be the case for Classic and a number of other games, but not Retail…all that magic has been gone for countless years.. There is no world, no journey, no excitement , no mystery, just a repetitive endgame, regrinding the same crap over and over, and everything becoming obsolete the next patch. They did it so well in Classic, maybe even in TBC and Wrath, but ever since nothing matters. If there is one thing Blizzard is good at it's making 90% of their game obsolete and useless. Extremely problematic for an MMORPG and should not happen.
I loved wow for years but as it turns out it my nostalgia doesn't prevent my friend from whining about it being a walking simulator
