  1. Great video!
For perspective, I'm currently 38y old.
My main focus in game is M+ because it's easy to schedule around.
With a group of friends we're now on the 24-25 range.
I have 4 characters wich unlocked all dungeon portals (+20 range).
And I have all characters at max level.
For me I like the convoluted classes, but I do understand that the barrier of entry is hard is that way.
Sometimes I wish there where less chores.
It would be great to just log in and play the mode you wanted.
I don't need any power-progression system, the gear grind is enough for me ^^.

Curious how Blizzard is going to tackle the issues going forward, or they need to hold on for another 20 years so that the majority of it's player base is at the retirement age and has a lot more time. xD

Keep up the good work, you earned yourself a new sub!

  2. 32, started in when i was 14 years old! stopped last year. Adons for everything or you can't play. Too much time needed for these PvE things. Started to do PvP more, no players to play with all need you to have addons and lot of time to find partners. Noticed a lot of cheaters and ppl paying for rank (boosters). At the end I just gave up and started buying other games as wow is an expensive hobby. Cheers

  3. 36yo here, left WoW at the beggining of BFA. To be honest, when i saw Chris on stage, with his incredible passion for the game, and after that hearing all of the things that would include TWW, i resubed. Actually i'm having a great time on the game (yes, on retail).

  4. Right, I'm gonna put my thoughts here.
First, I'm in the minority who can only enjoy Classic which is on life support with only SoD's small amount of changes and handful of new quests inserted into the existing game. It's a nice start but it's too small for me to keep paying to play a game I've played before.
I know they removed GDKP for this season which tempted to come back but I just can't find the willpower anymore, not with the rampant bots still there in a paid subscription game.

So this is my conclusion- Why would players feel tempted to spend 3 months doing content they already know?
Either I do all of the basic classic content then a Gnomeregan raid with a friend and 8 other toxic players who won't befriend me, talk with me, just brain off and unga bunga with addons until mobs are dead.
I don't think the majority of people want to experience a round 2 of what they know Classic's or Retail's community of players has to offer, a lot of people I've talked with or listened to can be summed up as: the lust for loot makes people antisocial or toxic and once you know what there is in the game, that's it and the magic is gone.

I can't really believe people when they say they want Story content which the new expansions promise, unless they're a solo player playing a mmo alone.
Most of those solo players went to FFXIV or play singeplayer games now, which are usually better.

  5. Mid thirties as well and a WoW player since the very beginning in 2004. Also big fan of the novels. I'd love to see WoW go into a direction where I as a working individual can play and achieve decently much. I understand that people who put in more time and effort will need to get more out of their time but I'd like a version where a little time could get you at least somewhere.

  6. wow is dead, it will always be around but is basically dead. people will come back hoping they made it great again and after a month or 2 will realize its the same shit in different wrapping. I've been subbed since 2006 i stay subbed even when i stop playing for a year or more and love the game but it is dead. until they remove all carrying for money and wow tokens it will never be fixable. everything in the game is worthless nothing has any real value or bragging rights because people just pay money or gold for carries. the only thing after playing since the start that i have that is kinda bragabble is my darthol rod of transformation that can be used anywhere and knuckle sandwich achievement 1 mount and title from a.q. the only bragable stuff is what is no longer available in game and its all basically useless anyways. there is no more prestige for title anymores or glad because of carries. as far as content the only thing that gives any difficulty in raids is bad color choices for spell effects making certain things almost invisible but no worries you need no skill or knowledge to get around this because you can simply download a add on that will do it all for you. the game is beyond being fixable, they just need to make a all new wow with no 3rd party adds proper in game ui changes etc…

  7. 31. I've played since 2008 yet uninstalled the game in 2021, have no interest in returning.

I also played on the same server as Steve Danuser, and he really does not like me. Well, to be more accurate, he really does not like my character.

But seriously, after trying different games such as FF14 and other Japanese MMOs, the primary reason I quite WoW was because the game itself made Addons Mandatory to make a form of progression in the game. Instead of being fun, it turned into a sweat fest.

  8. Something I find interesting is how WoW pvpers have been trashing the pvp lately. MOST of the things that are considered problems in WoW pvp are fixed in FFXIV pvp, but everyone bashes on FFXIV pvp. Level doesn't matter. You don't need gear. Matches are short, to the point, and relatively balanced. I love both games for different reasons, but i tend to find myself pvping in FFXIV more.
