Easy on the expansions, but heavy on the patches, maybe not the kind of patches they do now but always with some new shit to do. Yeah it may sound like they're doing more of the "free" stuff & less paid but if 2-5 times more people sub over all they still sell an xpac maybe half as much but their week in subs are 3/5/10 times as many
I always wondered why doesnt blizzard when it comes to pvp give everyone a generic armor set that automatically equips in a bg and then let pvp ACTUALLY be based off player skill. No more gear grind for pvp. Awards could be titles, mounts, and transmogs only a pvper could use. That way if they wanted to do pve they would actually have to quest and do pve content. Pvp would be based off skill and then they wouldnt need to pve and pve wouldnt need to grind gear for pvp. Problem solved.
Its already 8 months and first patch hasn't come yet….don't know when it will back 😒
I completely agree, they've done great all these years and I love Shadowlands, if they had more time I think the content would be much better
I'm tired of the systems
Covenants suck
Domination armor sucks
Azerite gear sucked
Corruption gear sucked
The mana pearls system sucked
The artifact weapon system was good in the sense you didn't have to hop for a weapon drop but the gems attached to it sucked
The netherlight crucible sucked
Just give me tier gear like it was before all this shit and remove the fucking systems
Ever since they removed tier sets they have done so many goddam systems that could replace their functionality and all of them have failed
How can they be this stupid
My thing is that ESO managed to put out their new expansion in time during COVID, so I don’t really buy that excuse anymore….I think the big issue is that Blizzard doesn’t know how (or don’t want) to make fun content without being tied to metrics
I think where you are wrong is considering the end is not yet end of life. I think it is an old product. You can't fix it anymore.
Covid I think is big part for Blizzard current patch releases. I agree that is fine for a new expansion when it is ready
Way to Hydrate brother !< I can see it working man look at that ! Keep up the good work 🙂
An Accolonn Sports Style beverage Bottle is in order I'd say . Vote this Up ! 🙂
The old style Attunements were the gatekeeper
I would whether have quality in content over quantity of expansions or patch content
i have been gifted every expac except for BfA, the one expansion that i actually paid full price for arguably has been the shittest expansion in the library. I can honestly say i am not keen to shell out real money for unfinished, unwanted, and unplayable games anymore. Blizzard need to take a big risk and watch it pay off for once, have some confidence in their own product again as for the last few years it seems they have been pushing the content out rather than people consuming the product.
love ur shi sadly i cant give anything bc i dont work i have issuse with how the world works in jobs that ppl dont care about loyalty and i leave them bc i am not into hurting myself for a job that doesnt care
100 hours in WoW is the exact equivalent of a water droplet in a water reservoir.
If it wasn't fore the lore I think I would of gave up back in BFA lol . Maybe Blizzard should stop trying for perfection and release buggy patches so … People can find bugs and glitches and exploits … And make content with them… Lol I like bugs in wow some are fun as shit
i completely agree, they do suck at story telling, they're great at feeding people's emotions with personas in trailers, but the trailers is what keeps ppl playing, not the story, SL was almost a good story narrative, one problem, the story is 25% complete, the first 2 chapters is great story telling, then, after chapter 2, it's off to world quests, torghast, and sanctums and you forget why you're fighting all over again, and that's sad
lol when has expansions been every 2 years? been playing wow since lich king and it has always been every 3 years with WoD being the exception
Once upon a time, there were plenty of different stats—PvP Power and Armor Penetration were PvP stats, while other stats were PvE stats. The gear from/for one kind of content could help with another kind of content, but wasn't optimal.
I remember that system had a few problems: sometimes Blizzard wanted to buff or nerf one type of gear, but that could create scenarios where PvE gear is better for PvP than PvP gear is! I think that actually happened in MoP at one point…
It'd be a good idea to have different kinds of gear for different content, but…well, that has its own pros and cons.
God Acco you don't know what you're missing by not taking naps, OMG they're so good
no one want 3 month patches
They have been hit with the double whammy of losing the core creatives that founded the company and infested with the Activision cheap and lazy mobile systems and dependence on cash shop. When they gutteted community managers and internal QA in favor of, to borrow from other channels, paid beta testing, they showed their hand. The Diablo Immortal reveal was them saying the quiet part out loud. They no longer have the infrastructure for the old content patches.
Content is king. Though the quality of that content is debatable. If its hamstrung behind multiple systems of progress does it make it fun to level an alt or 10? I like your idea of making all gearing separate but when we can't get covenant spells to be equal should we tack on another layer of complexity? I don't say that to be dismissive of your idea. I think blizzard has been forgetting the fundamentals of gaming. I don't expect everything to be balanced to a 5% difference. Actually, I almost think they need to do the exact opposite in some cases. When it comes to the dps gap between the top and the bottom you'll notice a few classes have sat in the bottom. Tune those forking classes to 11. Make the buff youd lose from replacing them into raw dps. I did an m+7 with a survival hunter a few weeks ago… they did less dps than the tank. If the reason you bring 2 specific healers to a raid is because they can output 2 times the damage passively then buff the others damage to work with the kit they have. None of the changes have to last more than a patch but you need to shake up the bottom end. There's no excuse why druid cat hasn't been usable in world first raiding since Cataclysm??? The real problem of WoW has always been the deaths by a thousand cuts kind of feeling for me. Its never one system or idea but a train of thoughts and events that show their hand. When I quit in Cataclysm, I remember talking with my guild about how they were making the game even more casual friendly. I have no problems with causal players. (For the first two years of playing wow I didn't do anything harder than dungeons. I didn't even have a max level character til midway through Tbc.) Just when they nurfed the dungeons and put out they would be further restricting your talent tree did I weigh my decision to cancel my sub. Now I sit here and wonder if what I did in wow on a daily basis was any kind of fun? I've been itemizing "what I enjoy in WoW" and that list is much shorter to the "what I think needs immediate work" and comparable in size to "deal breakers/broken ideas that faceplanted". Wow can be saved. It has one of the most insane fan bases in gaming. We're only insane because we keep buying half empty promises and broken features sets and believing it will be better in the next patch….and then staying when it isn't. I think that is changing again. My last thing id like to say is that they can slow down and take their time with the story/content. We don't need to kill Nzoth in a patch. Blizz you need to milk all story moments you can. Your competition is killing it with taking the time to have a good build up and finish. I would have been fine if we killed nzoth after Ny"alotha as a mini raid. I can come up with 20 better ideas than how blizzard stole the LOTR ending. If they hadn't been trying to rush themselves out of bfa and into shadowlands which forked us in two ways. They wasted the city and the old God on one hand and didn't deliver any extra content for 9.0. They took the time from 8.3.5 but added no new zones, dungeons, teir sets in the 8.3 patch. They only had 8 dungeons, 1 raid, 1 pvp arena thats a literal square w/ pylons, 4 decent sized zones that are some of the best done to date, more overly complicating and restrictive systems that will probably hurt returning players, no teir sets, no changes to m+(for 9.0 release), m+ now receives the worst gearing out of the high end (im fine with it), pvp finally gets fair with removal of scaling in the prepatch, pvp gets a vendor for both honor and Conquest, and list goes on with more positive and negative things. My point is how is blizzard so far behind when they cut content and have had an amazing group of players tell them the skinny of the problem time and time again?
The whole of wow is a grind lol. Has been for years. Wow has too strong a focus on esports anymore!
I only care about the lore anymore. Done with the game.
100% man!
Mythic+ / Raiding / PvP
We could have set base numbers and increase them like withe the valor system only they would level up in respective environments. Such as baseline 200 M+ gear upgrades and increases in ilvl in dungeons but not raids, and vice versa.
Anima could be used to upgrade your gear and such. FINALLY a worthwhile upgrade funnel
We could reintroduce dungeon teir sets, with dungeon bonuses! PvP sets with unique class effects, CD reduction or some sort of perks. And all over (increases Stat by XXX when in XXX content) across the board!
Also mad props to the ZA/ZG background music
@Accolonn I totally agree on the fact that Mythic+ gear should only show or grant progress "inside" Mythic+ dungeons. Outside, it should be no different from basic casual pvp sets or fully upgraded casual world quest gear.
I don’t think blizzard can handle big DLC content anymore (expansions). I think they need to progress the game through more frequent smaller DLCs.
Making different gear for m+ and raiding would be so bad… It would just force pve playera to grind two gear sets, it should only be pve/pvp, beacuse you need to do m+ and raiding for optimal vault rewards anyway
Indeed, as you said. They are the ones who put themselves in that box.
Re-introducing classic clearly demonstrated it. Naxxaramus raid was not conquered by most guilds when TBC dropped
Yes, the model is not sustainable, I am a player who stopped playing
Omg you are explaining my position exactly. I came back for legion for a few months and I couldn’t keep going
Yes. I love touring the world and pvp. So something like dynamic events , random world bosses and random world pvp is what I “used to" enjoy.
Do I have to push mythic and stuff?
And yes, the lack of achievement for the full expansion gets exhausting
This is a monthly subscription game.
If I am not getting proper value out of it then it is an actual wrong decision to keep going
Another point is making earlier content obsolete, if someone enjoys a zone like Elwynn forest then you are out of luck
FFXIV & ESO manage to release content even during the pandemic. It's simply penny pinching to save money and combine that with the we tell you what you like philosophy in borrowed power systems and shoe string world quest system that offer meager rewards designed to keep you playing but issue is they are boring and not worth it. Raiding is second teir to dungeons now because of better rewards available in mythic + unless your a mythic raider which is a vastly smaller number than actual raider's. It why I've seen guild collapse all over the shop in BFA/Shadow lands and is why I mainly play FFXIV now and play wow more casual and only sub if there is something I want to play.
We gonna need to recraft our legendary in 9.1 . We cant equit our domination gear . Do stack up soul ash and have 50 k gold for the mats. What a bad system
I'm at the point to where I'm basically playing FF14, and now I think Accolonn is actually more interesting than World of Warcraft anymore.
The problem with lots of gear is that it makes a mess in the backpack.
That's true. I don't like PvP. When I was forced to do battlegrounds to get my first weapon that boosted my ilvl to do my first mythic dungeons, I was disappointed. I did it, but it did not spark my joy.
Unsubbed in february, 12+ yrs pvper ,hate it now but that hate escalated since legion.Blizzard kill any interest about play even TBC is dead for me just solely cause never again support Blizzard in any point in any matter.Still here for lore.
Problem with a longer time between expnasions is that blizzard cant even maintain the game on patch by patch basis at this point, hence why older versions is so popular. They focus on money and not on quality and they get paid good for it becouse there is nothing out there for the wow player base that can replace wow.
