World of WarCraft…so much to be said about this massive game and community and MUSIC. Some people don’t love the fantasy genre when it comes to compositions, however, I love them. I realized after playing the games for a while, that what I really wanted was to sit in the environments just to listen to the music. These soundtracks were my gateway OST’s into deeper enjoyment of video game music, and I am super happy to get to cover a song from them finally. This wasn’t my first idea, but it was a fun one. I will be arranging some of the more ethereal pieces one day soon 🙂

I honestly chose this piece because I thought it would be a simple one to cover due to the similarity in instrumentation. I was surprisingly wrong in my assumption! I ended up re-arranging and re recording all the guitar and cello parts right in the studio and ended up having to learn the new arrangement for the video after recording. I also had 0 plans of putting percussion in the song, but ended up loving it when I decided to mess with it. It just goes to show how important adaptability is in the creative process.
